Different rules for different countries

Mexico and Malawi come first to mind. While men in Mexico were allowed to bribe officials to get a card saying they had served their military time, people in Malawi were been hunted down and murdered because they were told to refuse to buy a one-party political card for the equivalent of 25 cents.

They screw up the lives of people, stop them getting educated, shelter pedophiles, absolutley totaly screw up the lives of child abuse victims by making them feel like the guilty party, steal lives over the blood issue, stop people having harmless fun at birthdays and stuff like that. The sooner the GB is enlarged to 71 members made up of people from around the world (rather than white anglos), and then stop controlling peoples lives, the sooner much less harm will come to people

While few innocent duped Witnesses die from the fraud on blood transfusion,

a far more common problem is the horrid and profoundly unspiritual counsel

they give with regard to families.

1) they deliberately and consciously wreck families by disfellowshipping. The Kingdom

Ministry and the Watchtower command to have as little to do as possible with df'd

relatives. The Society also lies about this practice in the magazines, claiming

that accusations made against them about this are untrue, that they actually bring

families together ( as long as the members are loyal cultists!). In addition, family

members who just 'drift away' also may be shunned as 'disloyal'.

2) they wreck children spiritually! Children NEED TO BE TAUGHT TO HAVE

COMPASSION AND CONCERN ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE! Instead of this,

Witness children are given unyielding emphasis on meeting attendance and

forced participation in a mostly imaginary "ministry". While field service

slips record often wasted hours, there is no CATEGORY for time spent

reading to the blind, visiting the sick, or contributing to idealistic groups.

In addition, the motive for preaching is falsely called "concern for neighbors"

while, in fact, Witnesses are constantly reminded about Armageddon and how

everyone but them will be killed by God, Soon!

Witness kids are also indoctrinated with negativity and 'doom and gloom'

attitudes. Everything is futile except magazine peddling and nearly everything

is somehow wrong because of "bad associations".

The net result of this ugly way of teaching should be obvious. Most Witness

kids get df'd, rebel, leave home, or "give up the truth" - which probably means

little or no help from mom and dad - just at the time in their lives when they need

support to get a good education or start a career. Witness children are often

poorly equipped socially and emotionally to deal with real life - AND many Witness

parents end up in tears, wondering "what happened to Johnny?" - never understanding

that COMPASSION somehow got put last on the list of Witness "things to do".

Jesus said "by their fruits you will know them"

The continuing fruitage of Witness kids is bad, indeed.

I know firsthand, observing the Watchtower rotten "fruitage" in my own

family - and as an elder.

The FDS has broken so many hearts. They have claimed to speak for God as his interpreters of the Bible but have failed to do the very thing Jesus said they should do and that is to have love for the sheep.

They have put their love for a manmade Organization over that for the sheep. They have betrayed us. After years of obedience and sacrifice this is a very hurtful realization!

lying
choosing self-delusion as guide
inebriation via a sense of power over others, often accompanied by bullying ( see the story of the slave who drank and beat the others )
self-centred responses to potential losses of face and shame
being fearful over their own guilt and suppressing it
using other humans to their own ends - learned from their 'god'

I?d like to add to that:

Suicides
Psychological damage to their children when others make outsiders of the group by not pledging the flag, celebrating birthdays, etc.
Depriving their children of the opportunity to develop physically in team sports.
People getting sick, becoming handicapped, or dying because of their stupid vaccine policies for decades.
Hardening people?s attitude towards the hungry and needy.
Using their children as unpaid sales people without pay, even in all kinds of inclement weather.
Preventing people from obtaining certain jobs such as policemen.
Instilling fear of having relationships with non-JWs, reading books,
Robbing 20 hours per week of their life by lying to them of having to meet for five hours per week, time dressing up and going and coming from the KH, ?socializing? with the ?brothers?, doing your family study, preparation for the books, meeting for, and going to field services, conducting studies, etc.
Teaching people to lie about how wonderful it is to be a JW because it would bring dishonor to Jehovah.

The FDS have brought tremendous pain to thousands of people, and if anything have helped drive mankind away from God rather than giving people genuine hope.
