    The first 3 presidents of the I.B.S.A ./ Jehovah`s Witnesses / WTB&TS.

    W.H.Conley ,C.T.Russell ,J.F.Rutherford .

How many Jehovah`s Witnesses know that ? How many ex Jehovah`s Witnesses knew that ? I didn`t.

What does this mean ? The WT society teaches that jesus returned to begin his "invisible presence" in 1914 directing his attention toward the Earth as Ruling King

The, the first 3 Presidents believed JC had returned in 1874, as ruling King ?

Zions WatchTower and Herald of Christs Presence. ( not coming )

God knew that what they were teaching was not true and therefore they would fail his son`s examination on such an important matter.

Why didn`t Jehovah God correct their thinking by 1919 ? when they were supposed to have been accepted as the Faithful & discreet slave ? When obviously they were not ? Because they were teaching a false date of his return (Second Coming)

Information gleaned from the Proclaimers Book ,published by the WTB&TS ,Special thanks to

Don Camerons "Captives of a Concept" .

I'm sure that is true in the case of Conley and Russell. Rutherford may have believed that initially but in the 1920/30's changed to the idea that JC became king in 1914.

In the 1927 publication called evolution/creation, they still said that JC was given rulership of the heavenly kingdom in 1874.

Rutherford's book called "Religion", copyright 1940, on page 336 says "In the year 1914 (A.D.) Christ Jesus, the King, was enthroned."

The first 3 presidents? Washington, Adams and Jefferson? They had no idea.

If you mean presidents of the WTBTS, Russell, Rutherford and Knorr believed Jesus became king in 1914

Page 336 is the first page of the last chapter of the "Religion" book; the chapter is called "END OF RELIGION". WWII had begun in Europe by 1940 and page 337 of the book says "The earthly leaders and the blinded people march to Armageddon." Page 348 says ' "The battle of that great day of God Almighty" will forever put AN END TO RELIGION AND RELIGIOUS PERSECUTORS.' Page 359 says 'The "day of Jehovah" began in 1914, when Christ Jesus was enthroned; but, with reference to the anointed, more particularly from 1918, when the Lord Jesus came to the temple. Since, "the day of the Lord Jesus Christ" begins to overlap the day of Jehovah.' Hey, does that last sentence foreshadow the principle of the WT's much later teaching of overlapping generations?

And if they weren't shunned by God for not getting 1914 right (in their current view), wouldn't it be appropriate for them to cut some slack to those who even now have a problem with 1914?

Instead, they behave like the slave in Mt 18:23-35.

Jehovah's Witnesses In The Divine Purpose, page 22, states:

"For this reason 1879 was a turning point in the work. This little group, headed by C . T. Russell, had now been tested and had been found fit to undertake the great preliminary campaign leading up to the climax expected in 1914."

If the Bible Students were tested and found fit in 1879, then birthdays, Christmas, and other practices had already been approved by God.

Some people ask, if the Bible Students were found fit in 1879, then why did they need to be tested again in 1918 or 1919?

Answer! Because the Watchtower makes this stuff up as they go along and forces it down the throats of JW's. JW's just don't realize that the carrot they have been chasing after for so many years, is already rotten and stinks to high heaven.

When people quote recent WT publications about what Jehovah`s Witnesses believed back in the days of Russell and Rutherford believed ,you have to remember that WT are great revisionists .

Look back at the original publications compared to what they now say they said and you will find nothing of the sort.

As an example WT now give the impression JW`s always taught that JC was to take up his rule as King in 1914 .and rule over survivors on earth.

What they really did teach was that all of the kingdoms of this world would be overthrown in 1914 at Armageddon and all of the faithful would be taken up to heaven .

No such belief about a paradise earth where survivors would live.

I wish I had never thrown out my "Proclaimers" book
