First video is of Governing Body member Stephen Lett (one of the JW leaders) on the official JW.org website claiming the child abuse accusations are apostate lies even though the JW organization has been found guilty of not protecting children in multiple trials and have been forced to pay out tens of millions of dollars in damages. The second video comes from PBS News Hour's report on child abuse in the JW organization and features a video of Watchtower Headquarters Supervisor Richard Ashe claiming the responsibility of the JW organization is only to spiritually protect children and that physical protection is the responsibility of the secular authorities. -

Over decades of reading JW literature, I have yet to find even one solitary statement that has anything half-decent OR correct to say about those who have left the organization - especially over conscience issues. The organization’s writers are consistently damning of those who take the step of leaving. You will find no understanding or compassion.
Regarding “prominent” brothers - point taken by the poster who said aren’t all brothers just brothers? - I dare say they are referring to Ray Franz. Decades after he left, JWs continue to read his book, Crisis of Conscience” and realise the organization is rotten at the very top. For anyone with a conscience over what is fair and true, leaving is the only option ( allowing that not everyone’s circumstances allows an immediate decision to do so).

I was stumbled by a prominent brother , brother Lett when he said that when he was younger at bethel most there believed the end was coming 1975. Opps didn’t they used to say and say again now that the whole 1975 thing was because some brothers out in the field got carried away and said these things? Well according to Lett the ones at Bethel thought the same even accusing him of apostasy for not believing.
Yep you can’t make this shit up!

This is a really great example of "spinning" and gaslighting.
The literal generation of 1914 died off without Armageddon happening. No new interpretation changes this fact of history. Folks started doubting because they believed and preached a lie/falsehood/untruth/(insert not-truth descriptor here) for a few decades.

Every thing written about apostates and people who left the organization is negative and are the Governing Body's projections of their own evil shadow and their practices to deceive their members, which they cannot see because they are in deep denial. This much shadow projection is seriously going to bite them in the ass in the big buck$$ being lost in court cases over their deep denial which they broadcast on the internet, which inturn leads to a failure to take corrective measures because of the deep denial.
