the Russian Army is a complete mess and they admit as much.
No King of the North? No fufillment of prophecy, No Armageddon.
How can they continue to preach "the End is Near" ? (especially with Watchtower building programs that
extend into 2006?)

Woa woa woa skippy. If my knowledge ïn "popular" fiction serves me correct (ex: Awake, WT, Wizard of Oz, etc.): Clearly Armageddon can no longer occur when Dorthoy's house landed on the Wicked Witch of the East and vanquished the Wicked Witch of the West with a bucket of water. When those events happened? The whole "theory" of the King of the North and King of the South was utterly disproven.
I have heard suggestions/speculation that the new king of the North is Islam or Islamic Fundamentalism
I went into a JW chat long ago. I think it was Obeds old forum. The only words I typed were "who is the king of the north?'. I was booted and got an IM saying I was booted for being an apostate.
You only have to read Daniel chapter 11 and compare it to the history of the Seleucid Empire to realise that the King of the North ended with Antiochus IV Epiphanes in 164BCE.
Trying to find a modern fullfillment to this chapter is a waste of time. It isn't Russia and it isn't Islam, it's an Empire that collapsed over 2000 years ago.
Hmmm, isn't the Anglo-American Empire mostly of a higher latitude than the more equatorial Islamic nations? Why not make the U.S. and Britain the king of the north? Hell, they're closer now in their foreign policy than in many decades....Leolaia
What a lack of faith! Don't you know that prophecy is only understood after its fulfillment? The King of the North could be right under our noses, and we simply haven't realized it yet.

I thought this was about December 25th, and the King of the North's forray into the world to deliver presents to celebrate the birth of the true King of the North. (and South, And East, and West).
