Wow...it was over 60 degrees here this morning. I don't think we've had any significant snowfall since 1997.
It's snowing here.................1st time in 2 years

we had a miserable winter, with lots of snow and cold cold cold days.
That would be a fabulous winter, especially for the owner's of a plumbing company.
The kids were very excited to go to school with snow on the ground. It had already turned to rain or rain/snow mix by 8:15 when we walked to school but they thought it was just great!
I didn't let it ruin my plans for the day, I just got home from some Christmas/Birthday shopping and am off to the gym. Great Day!

Mulan: sorry to hear about your mom; she's lucky, oops, I mean, fortunate, to have you around.

By the time I needed to leave the house, the rain had taken care of the snow, and my plans for the day went on.
My flu is now in its second stage. I was getting better, but now am getting it again, sneezing constantly and the tissue box has to be right with me at all times. I hate this. I'm too busy to be sick.

Hi Mulan,
My kids are still young so .. I love the snow,.. but not for driving in.
Sure messes things up when you have driving plans and lots of errands.. and it's snowing.
We haven't really had anything but a few flurries here yet.. in Nova Scotia. Although, some vehicles were off the road this morning because of black ice.. I HATE .. Black Ice.
Take care of yourself, .. hot toddy maybe. Taking care of and making arrangements for your mom is probably stressful and maybe your immune system might be down. Those upsetting things on the forum was probably stressful too.
You deserve a cozy blanket and a hot toddy too...
Stay warm, stay safe.. and have a good day.
sincerely
Special K

Mulan,
So sorry you have the flu. They say that this season is going to be worse than it has been for years. And that the strain of flu is not the strain they prepared the flu shot for, but that the shot should still help in protecting from this strain. Whatever. Even if the shot was worthless against this strain, do you really think they would tell the public who have already had the shot or expect to get it soon? Don't think so. I work in a doctor's office and should get the shot, but probably won't. I will live dangerously, I think.
So sorry to hear about your Mom, Mulan. Hope she improves day by day. It is very sad to watch our parents grow old and lose their grip on taking care of themselves. Hang in there, and I wish the best for your Mom.
