This scientist is a nuclear physicist. He commented on evolution, saying he believes in a literal creation instead. He's clearly straying from his field of expertize (nuclear physics).
"It is important to understand that the denial of the Genesis account of creation is a direct result of the theory of evolution which posits a naturalistic explanation for the origin of life.” - this is wrong. Evolution posits a naturalistic explanation for the origin of species.

I didn't know Nuclear Physicists specialized in Paleontology.
Now Nuclear Physics man says in the article:
"Not only is the second law of thermodynamics “a powerful argument against chemical evolution,” van der Ventel stated, but the very dating methods evolutionists cite are mostly supported by assumptions—not physics."
Nuclear Physics man is not Chemist man because he does not know about DKS (Dynamic Kinetic Stability). DKS is in full harmony with the second law of thermodynamics. Perhaps he should rather go split an atom or read some more Genesis.
Or better yet, look at some Terminator Genysis.

It appears that he obtained his B.Sc. in 1992 and his Ph.D. in 1999, both from Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Wikipedia has no entry on him, but they do have a writeup on Stellenbosch University. It says: “In December 2014, specialists at the university performed the first successful penis transplantation, on a 21-year-old man.” It must be quite a place!
