    Voyager:

You're sincere apology is appreciated but I don't really feel that you need to apologize to me. In retrospect I realize that you were posting information that you thought was credible and could be of use to someone.

I look forward to seeing new scandals coming to light here on the forum. Unfortunately many of them do not pan out. I think that sometimes we are so eager to finding some new corruption in the WTS that we jump on something a little too quickly or make too big of a deal out of certain things. The UN-NGO membership; that's a scandal. Covering up pedophilia in the congregations; that's a scandal. The way the Society obtains real estate, to me, is a scandal. Other things are more difficult to prove or call a scandal. Privately owned airplanes, though it's an interesting look at the inner workings of the WTS, is not really a scandal. Credit Union use by congregations is not really a scandal. At the same time though, I guess some things may seem more scandalous to some more so than others.

Sometimes I get frustrated when, what seems to me, frivolous information is made out to be of some real consequence. Maybe I overreacted in my questioning your intent and for that I apologize. Please do not let me discourage you from continuing to look for the next UN-NGO sized scandal, and hopefully you will find it.

Do you think that they can use their conncetions within these unions to give credit to favorites and deny others?

    Topanga:

That is a good question Topanga, I'll try and do some checking into it. Some have thought that they were members of the Credit Unions, because this was the way they paid the Watchtower back for loans made for the Kingdom Hall Construction and etc. If that is the case, then that would be interesting to check into also.----Thank you so very much for your interest. Please have a wonderful week, and keep safe on the holidays from careless drivers.---Voyager

Remember when you had to work at a certain business or belong to a certain club to get into a credit union? When I was a kid it was a bitch to get in the the one that was good in town...I was pysched when I was able to join because my sister worked at one of the factories....(fees were so much lower than the local banks)

nowadays a lot of credit unions have been looking to increase their membership in a variety of ways....so if you say you are a member of a congregation you can join? big whoop...

but I can see how a lot of people would view it is scandolous...god I love that world...if you think about the merchants and evil governments in Revelation....I think it would be good for JWs to join the real world as a group. The organization is changing, and I think that will be a good thing for those that stay in it. Kids can go to college now...and lead a much more normal life than the one i was forced to as a JW child in the lates 70s and 80s.

what WOULD be a major scandal is if a JW congregation would sponsor a baseball or other youth sports team. Scandolous and refreshing at the same time.

    What name could the have...hmmmmm

Probably some queer like the Pioneers

    Hi Voyager,

I think you posted this information in good faith and not just to fool around with people.I am sure most of us can filter out what we want and not get too worried about the rest.
