I'm not too concerned with "sin". I like a few drinks now and then, but it's been a long time since I've been drunk. Drinking excessively can present it's own problems though.
For any who feel the need to justify drinking, remember this scripture at Jer. 25:27 in the Revised Standard Version
27 "Then you shall say to them, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more

I almost never drink alcohol. I don't why, just never had the urge to. Still, I do like the occasional tequila or wine.
The Bible is not the only religious text or tradition that condemns drunkeness, Buddhism for instance forbids monks from consuming any wine whatsover, the reason being that it is detrimental to meditation and spiritual cultivation.
I don't think getting a little drunk in a great long while is any big deal, but something that should be avoided. Personally though, I find gluttony more disgusting...
