I too had no JW friends despite being born in. Also, not close to my family so i didnt really lose anything or anyone when i left.

Dang, I enjoyed that! Thanks. I'm working out of town, and I just called my wife and told her she needs to read your story.

I, too, would love to have that essay on the Creation book. Haven't checked any of the links provided by others above but will do so shortly. My country bumpkin mother holds the Creation book to her chest and says "I looooooooove the Creation book; it's one of my favorites." I get nauseated and infuriated at the same time. Org higher-ups had to know they were being deceptive.

I am familiar with the ARC, but have only seen a couple of brief snippets. Now, I want to watch it in its entirety. If you have any other reading or watching suggestions (books, videos, articles, etc.), please share them.

Enjoyed your personal account. As I read through it felt like I was going through my own checklist...Born In elders Son-check, conversations with well grounded non emotional former JW's-check, Lack of confidentiality-check, Creation Book=crap-check.

I think I'll try to get my wife to sit down with me after kids are in bed and watch the ARC vids as I have only seen snippets thus far.
