    1999 Yearbook 3,802 congregations in Japan

    Newly reported figure 3,163 congregations

    France had 1685 congregations (1998 Yearbook)

    Now they have 1493. They lost 192 congregations

    Canada had 1388 congregations (1998 Yearbook)

    Now they have 1332. They lost 56 congregations.

    Seems to be the more developed countries with stats like that. I guess if you're dirt poor in a third world country with no other options the "truth" probably sounds a lot better than it does here.

    What are the publisher numbers? Did they consolidate Congregations to save money? Do they have enough Elders to run things for them? I know this has been a problem in fast growth areas. It is tought to find people who are intelligent enough to run things the Corporate way and yet stupid enough to blindly follow those phony morons at WTS HQ. Maverick

    Well that is one point about merging congregations, one reason may be to keep critical mass.
