Then they charge ya for the damn parking!

Yeah! Even though you neglected your family and financial affairs to DONATE your time and money and effort to build the dang parking lot!

MINI MUS The Topic which is being discussed here in this forum is record keeping as posted. Under this topic for discussion it is not the proper forum to discuss whether it is proper for a jw to post on this board or not, or whether posting on this board and discussing wt issues is the proper thing to do and shows direspect toward "theoctaric arrangement" according to what you state.

That is another topic for discusiion and has nothing to do with the views expressed about this particular topic.

Since a person who is df or da is no longer viewd as part of the congregation does anyone know if that former jw's pb card and file is kept by the cong or the society? and if so why?

I think the records are kept in case they ever decide to return to the meetings. If they are df/da, and they return in another area then the local elders will use the records to find out about that person to be able to reinstate them.

What the hell are you trying to say anyway?

This is an open forum. If someone wants to joke over a topic.....so what. Besides....his comment was on topic as much as anyone else.

Gumby. my remark was addressed to minimus and not to you. according to your question to me in your last post, you do not know what I am talking about, and you are right abou that, you have no idea.

IN reponse to tour opinion that this is an open forum, I disagree. There are guidelines althouigh not written in stone. The host of this website ahs classified Topics under different categories and each board has a specific Topic that is being discussed. So you see, there is an orderly and proper way of doing things here and not a chaotic talk about everything with no theme. Again, these are only guideliness and not rules as it seems to me. I see nothing improper about your remarks. Again my remark was addressed to someone else. JUst to enlighten you a little bit, HIS remark was a spill over of a different discussion under a different Topic and he does not want to leave it there but brings it under this Topic. Of course if uou like you can talk about anything here, ther eis not penalty, and so can anyone.

There are many subjects that can be discussed, my post focuses on recoed keeping. If you want to talk about another Topic, hey why not open that Topic on another board so that there is not distraction to the Topic at hand. But please don not misunderstand, my remark was not addressed to your post. Your post was funny and right on Topic in my opinion.

I should write them a letter, telling them I want all info on myself sent to me.While I donot consider my self a JW or want my name anywhere associated with them,in anyway possible.Hmmmm something I think I will do and I think I'm going to send a letter to the WTS too.

I know it really doesn't make a difference in my life,my mind is made up regarding them.I think in some ways it would just make me feel better to let them know what I really think about the WTS.Like we do with our previous baptismal records, before we take the dip of doom.

Yeah! Even though you neglected your family and financial affairs to DONATE your time and money and effort to build the dang parking lot!

There is a very orderly way to do this people! You have to take a vote to see who's in favor of building the parking lot. The results of the vote don't really matter, it just gives the impression that you care about what the congregation members think.

Next, you are handed a slip of paper to make some choices on how to "donate" to the cost of the parking lot, regardless of whether you voted for or against it:

    1) Make a one time donation of $_________
    2) Make a donation of $________ per month for ______ months.
    3) Withdraw $_________ for ___ years from the _________ Bank, branch number________ account number__________ and your signature:________________________
    4) Take out a loan of $____________ and loan it to the Society. The Society can then pay you back in __________ hundred years.
    5) Donate your valuable _______________________ to the Society so they can take it to a pawn shop and get money for it.
