When I was 33, I had been married for 16 years, had two teenagers, a 10 year old and was pregnant with my fourth child. I was a true believer, elder's wife.
<sigh> to be that age again. and know what I know now.
Hm... At 33, I was just beginning to homeschool my children. What a blast that was! The life of John Muir -- building a still out of scraps of tubing and mustard jars -- my 6-year-old daughter learning to reduce fractions on her fingers -- studying Japan together ("son, you do ninjitsu and art, Mommy'll do language and history, the 'baby' can do folklore and learn to count"). Damn that was fun!

I had been married for 10 years to a woman who had been a JW Dub for 5 years. Had 5 kids and was a Major in the USAF flying C-130 transports all over the world. Have now been married 45 years to that same woman, have 6 kids, retired as a LTC from the USAF, retired again after a 24 year career as a Civil Engineer, still working part time and loving it. Yes, I do get the Senior Citizen Discount without asking for it.
The year I turned 33 was a big turning point for me. That's the year I divorced my JW husband, and turned my back on the whole JW mind controlling grip and took control of my own life. That was my year of independance!
That was four years ago, and I feel like a new person since then. I have a better job, happier lifestyle, I could focus on my children more, and I have learned much more about life in general. I feel very empowered now.

Maybe better that I did'nt know. I never would have Viv else.
I was married for 3 whole weeks
Since then, divorced (after 5 years) and doing fine.
Overal, I am feeling the same person as the on, let's say 20.
Make the most of it from here on in. I have no serious regrets. The trick is to never stop learning. I'll be twice your age come the new year and I'm more content than when I was 33. Better days are ahead of you, take advantage of them.

I'm 32 now. My life really began at 22 when I got divorced and left my life I had before as a pioneer witness who lived and breathed the truth. My mother married an abusive partner after my father died when I was 13 and at 17 I left home as a very lonely and innocent young lad. I thought that marriage was the answer and was quite badly hurt when I found out what my witness wife was up to all the time. It was only then I had to grow up, it was hard. The learning hasn't stopped, it makes me look back and think just how little I knew in those young years when I thought the world was about to end and I knew it all. I am not sad for anything I left behind, I have some of the best friends you can imagine and they mean a lot to me. Where am I now?
He?s a real nowhere man, |
In the fall of 1995, I was 33.
Many interesting, unexpected twists and turns, lead me into a huge career change, and I basically pursued some dreams I had.
33: great age!
Enjoy it....please do. It gets better, trust me.
