That was a few years ago. I was married then with one child. Also was an elder holding three positions in the congregation. Presiding Overseer, Theocratic School Overseer, and Book Study Conductor. It was a very busy time because it was just three years after Armageddon and everyone was trying to adjust to the New Order.

Mouthy I went to post and then the phone rang and i forgot what I was doing. 33 yrs ago, is no where I wanted to be and I am glad I am here today at 52

Just about to be appointed an elder -- I would have gladly disfellwoshipped anyone who was an apostate -- I thought apostates were the scum of the earth -- boy have I come a long way since 33!

I left JW's when I was 30, but believe me I was nowhere near being appointed for a position of leadership in the cong I was in. I had no desire to get involved in congregation politics. Glad you saw the light still, there are many like you who if you could just present some information to them at the right time and in the right way....
