Drop off your key, Lee, they are out in front of the French Market in Wheaton, every Saturday.

What time are they cart witnessing at the French Market in Wheaton?

The video showing the Downers Grove cart witnessing looks like early morning, where not even one person is walking around. If the sisters really wanted success in the cart witnessing work, they would show up at noon, not at 7:00 a.m.

Years ago, I drove by Midway Airport in Chicago on a Saturday morning. I watched two male witnesses walking on the sidewalks holding Watchtower magazines in their hands. The airport is 4 square miles. Not one person ever walks on the sidewalks except those who wait for the buses on 63rd.& Cicero.

The French Market is every Saturday, from about 9am, to early afternoon. It’s pretty nice. We should meet up to do a cart crash!

    Those apathy carts.

It must really irritate generations who were obligated to go from door to door in -30 conditions & knee deep snow banks on weekend mornings.

Lol, i lived on Highland Ave in Downer’s in the 60’s. The Tivoly theatre was our home away from home on Saturday afternoon. That’s where we saw the ‘60’s movies. Good Bad and the Ugly, Sound of music, Born Free, that’s when movies were an art form.

.Plus the bowling alley down stairs around the corner from the Tivoly.

The video shown is just about a block away. Wow, it takes me back.

I wonder what pull you have to have to get "selected" to do this easy assignment. Probably was easy hours, but not so since hours need not be reported any more.

The thumbnail for the video shows a sign saying "Free Bible Course". Is there really a structured course designed to teach a complete novice about how the Bible works? Or is it more JW doctrine oriented? And is it a particular publication that is meant for newbies? If so, what is it called?

    NOT FORMER:

To be very blunt and honest, what the JWs offer is not truly a Bible study but a literature study of their publications - and their rules & regulations.

Back when I came in they had me ‘study’ from one of their little books. Their Bible was then used to look up selected scriptures to back up some point or teaching of theirs.

    👍👍

Haven't seen any carts near me in the usual places for ages now - have they slacked off because they don't have to report ministry the same way now I wonder??

Yes, Ron, I used to see them quite often at the carts, but after they dropped the hour requirements, I see them less. But, I’ve seen women wearing slacks! 😂🤔
