You have been given much wise advice. I will add just this. Bottom line this whole thing. Who are these guys? Think about their secular jobs. The two that wanted to meet with me were, a lawnman and a retired grocery clerk. Would you let a guy who mows lawns and a man who rang up groceries tell you how you should live your life? Why? As for the special training that the WTS gives them....note...THERE IS NO SPECIAL TRAINING! It is all BS. These guy are NOTHING! And the CO is the biggest doof in the whole lot. What do you think would happen to HIM is he woke up and realised it was all crap. He has his whole life wrapped up in that mess. He CAN'T get out. He will have NOTHING!

So that's what you give them....nothing.

Hi Tina, welcome to the Forum

I was in your position many years ago. The elders wanted to "continue" meeting with me. If you have no intentio of returning to the JWs, My advice to you is not to meet with them. Remember, that no matter what you tell them or try to reason with them; in their eyes, YOU will always be wrong. They sincerely believe that they represent GOD.

Good luck, and let us know what you decided, and what their reaction was

Are'nt they not supposed to meet with a female one on one? Maybe he's looking for some action. I'd watch out.

I assumed he would bring another elder as he said "we'd" like to meet with you. Now what to do if he shows up alone? Invite him in and dial 911? Invite him in, shoot him and dial 911? Slam the door in his face and call the PO instantly?

My head hurts.

Thanks to everyone for thier advice. I've decided that I'm just not going to put myself in the situation to be manipulated. The more I thought about it the angrier it made me. The elders didn't even call and ask to see me themselves. Of course they have my dad tell me. Maybe they figured pulling at my emotions would help them meet thier quota. Screw them I've got better things to do.

Sweet dear if you really don't want to go back to the hall then just tell them I don't want to talk to you, its that simple. The only power that they have over you is what you give them.
