Thx Earnest for the booklet link. I can see why certain Muslims might find the booklet offensive. Hence the directive to destroy old copies and the issuance of a replacement brochure.
I'd be careful with the following, however,
There must be sufficient interest to warrant these translations
esp. given Geoffrey Jackson's bent on setting up unnecessary translation centres for Welsh when all the folks in Wales can read English just fine. I think you are are right in your application to the Muslim question, but the principle has limitations now.

BelisemDeBelimakom - that's a very good video on Catholicism and Islam. I did not realise the Free Masons also spoke of the Genii - I remember one young Moslem telling me about the Djinn - it amazed me when I found out these were the genies spoken of in Aladdin.

I just heard on Radio 4 that a translation of the Bible has finally been made into Cornish. The lack of a Cornish Bible in the early modern period (there nearly was a translation but it never happened) is argued to be one cause of the demise of the Cornish language. There are estimated to be around 300 proficient speakers, all of whom acquired the language as a second language.
It’s amazing the number of languages the NWT is now translated into. There’s a translation in Welsh now, and who knows perhaps Gaelic might be next. But if Watchtower ever produces a version of the NWT in Cornish then I think we can say they’ve ‘jumped the shark’ on Bible translation. 🦈

Can you imagine the bloodbath that would ensue if the GB set pioneers into honestly Islamic areas?

I forgot, I do know a brother and his wife who were sent to The Gambia and Senegal, which we were surprised to find out (as I think he was) are Muslim countries, and they have little success in terms of JW converts. At first everyone thought that any African country they were sent to would have tons of Bible Studies and baptisms. They didn’t enjoy it much in Senegal and the last I heard they moved back to the UK. So missionaries and pioneers are sent to Muslim countries.
Without stating the names of the countries, the Britain branch used to oversee some Muslim countries in the Middle East where JWs are banned. So even where JWs are banned there is still some coordination to do some preaching in those countries, or at least to provide guidance for the JWs already in those countries. -

M Mr M : "Can you imagine the bloodbath that would ensue if the GB set pioneers into honestly Islamic areas?
I believe that happened in the southern Philippines. the Governing Body will not take credit for that, all "Publishers" are, as the term implies, souverein entities operating on their own initiative.

In the film “Apostasy” the girl who dies of a refused blood transfusion went to an Urdu speaking congregation and had a scene where she tried to preach to a UK Pakistani man. Her efforts were valiant but it was clear she couldn’t carry a conversation and he got offended when she tried to tell him JWs and Muslims learnt from the same book.
Since JWs claim to fame is to preach in the entire inhabited earth, why didn’t they at least attempt a mission to Antarctica? McMurdo base has a population of just over 1000 people and is generally open to visitors.

And don't forget 1990 Mankind's Search For God. There is a lot of mention on the Muslims in that book.
