ST GEORGE OF ENGLAND & JOEY JO JO:

I believe the JW religion/organization will be around in some form probably online!

Joey: yes, everybody has the same eventuality.. The Witness die-hards who spoke loudly and made big brags have reached senior years and all that entails.. Some are gone.. These people were the ones who gave me a hard time years ago about working full-time and were behind the unchristian behavior in the hall.. They scoffed at me and smugly thought they’d be in the new system by now.

St. George: I’m glad you wisely did uni and got a good career and won’t be dying in poverty. I, too, wisely followed my gut and am retired.

I also have the Consolation of having ‘Faded’ from the Witness religion years ago while I had some youth left.. This was priceless along with me reconnecting with blood relatives (who were the only people who truly cared about me).. before it was too late, Thank God.. We enjoy each other’s company including the Holidays together like when we were growing up! 👍🏻👍🏻

Brother Jackson actually said “I know some of you will be googling these two new members of the governing body”

he laughed and said l if you aren’t now then you will later”

    what!!!!!!!!!

Seriously I thought we should only stick to JW.org and not be googling new current or old GB members????????

If rank and file go ahead and do Br Jackson’s suggestion then we may see a lot more members on this site 😆👏🤩

mikeflood: It's gonna be just weekly meeting on any weekday... ruining weekends shouldn't be tolerated...

Most Christian denominations meet primarily or exclusively on weekends. Having one meeting during the week and none on the weekend seems unusual to me. A one or two-hour meeting on a Sunday morning would be pretty typical for most Christians, wouldn't it?

What I would like to see and maybe will get there in about another ten years is being a JW is a rewarding thing that enriches your life.

Just like other religions out there you may not know the entire truth and maybe not quite right many of the beliefs but to have to idea of a belief centres and stabilises you.

I would like JWs to be able to celebrate birthdays and maybe even other holidays if they choose to and not be judged by those who choose not to.

I would like JWs to be allowed to have different interpretations of scripture and everyone is happy to agree to disagree and be able to say to each other yes maybe that interpretation is nearer the truth. We just don’t know.

I would like new members of the GB to issue an apology for previous members getting so many things wrong.

they need to come out and say they were wrong about 1914 this date has no scriptural significance and the same is true of 1919. JWs were not chosen in 1919 as the one and only true religion.

we just don’t know about so many things and it takes humility to admit we were wrong.

I would like to see even more lightening up on stupid restrictions like young people being allowed to have a varied friends and activities that are not with JWs only.

my Bible Study Conductor believes that the end will be in less than 20 years.

A JW elder just told me that "they" (insider info) expect the call for Peace & Security within the next 24 months.............and then The End™ will come. . . . soon. . . . very, very soon. (OK. I added the "soon" part.)

    It's right around the corner!

Unusual yes, but anachronistic, stemming from the days when people worked long hours, six days a Week, and Sunday was the only time they had to go to Church.

It may in fact be a good move, conventional Churches have a dwindling attendance at Weekends, for obvious reasons, people don't want to waste a Sunday, or Saturday.

"Unconventional" has never bothered the J.W Org. In fact, it was a selling point as far as Rutherford, and later Knorr and Franz were concerned, an identifying "marker" that the "true" religion was different.

In can easily be spun as a "Loving provision from Jehovah, leaving time for families to be together, to Study together, and to have some leisure time together, isn't our loving god wonderful brothers ?".

I put nothing past them in their efforts to retain members.

    PHIZZY:

At least the Churches of Christendom were in reality that people had to work long hours during the week! So, Sunday was their day to be free to attend for an hour or so.

As somebody who worked full time it was hard to make weeknight meetings when I was in the Witness religion. If the religion adopts one meeting during the week there will be those who work and either cannot make it or they will be late.

Not that it makes any difference to me since I am long Out of the Witnesses…but I think it would be a mistake on their part to abandon a Sunday meeting in favor of one during the week. Just my opinion.

I agree, and in fact doubt they will abandon Sunday Meetings, but will still count as "attenders" those who join on Zoom etc. and therefore will have no way of knowing if their Mind Controlling spiel is really working on such people, many of whom wish to appear to attend, as they wish to keep the J.W's as their Social Club.

But they make many a silly move, so abandoning weekend Meetings is still not something it would not surprise me to see.

It will be fascinating to watch their desperation as numbers of actual believing J.W's wither away !

Of course the "Social" members are highly unlikely to donate, or at least not much, so Cash Flow will be an on-going problem, you only sell Kingdom Halls for so long.

Where do you see the Organization in the next 10 years?

    Let the Bible answer !

    Revelation 19v20:

"But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

    >>> The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur."

    ...................

The Organization = "the beast" and ...

the GB and those who gives the "spiritual" line or direction of the Org = the false prophet

So, the beast (the Org) will "be thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur."
