    In answer to the question,

    Yes, they would alter the records. They wouldn't think once. They would be in legal difficulties, but they would be under "theocratic warfare", LOL! Those dumbasses...

    I hope that IF the above happens they throw the book at them. Take the people's houses, money, everything... maybe even throw them in jail. They could feel "persecuted" whilst being raped. A fitting punishment.

    I remember one of the BOE letters... I was looking through the archive and I can't find it right now, but it really struck me when I first read it.

    Basically, it told the elders to do all they legally could to prevent a police search of the "confidential congregation records"; and if there were no further legal steps they could take, it told them to "do what your conscience indicates so as to 'obey God as ruler rather than men.' (Ac 5:29)" IOW, they all but told them to destroy or hide the records.

    I think that reading that was pivotal in convincing me that the WTS really had mishandled the child abuse cases.

    Well, I think there are a couple of witnesses (small joke) to the fact that indeed there were those kinds records. Like Barbara Anderson as one instance. If they destroyed them I think it would just make it worse for them...eheh

    Do you want to know what pink odors smell like? Do you like Mary Kay perfume products?

    (no offense to any Mary Kay distributors on here, and you *know* who you are!)

    Do you want to know how they are made heart-shaped? Why.. with a heart shaped emission device!

    Do you want to know from whence they are emitted? No.. that's a manufacturer's secret!

    Smooches,

    The plaintiff's counsel seeks to strip a church of the sanctity and complete confidentiality of the confession and impose upon it liability for the wrongdoing of its members.
    Ecclesiastical privelege does not apply in child abuse cases. In most states, the reverse is true, as a minister you are required to report it.

    Texas Family Code 261.101 Persons required to report
    A person (everyone) having cause to believe that a child's physical or mental health or welfare has been adversely affected by abuse or neglect by any person shall immediately make a report as provided by this subchapter. This requirement to report under this section applies without exception to an individual whose personal communications may otherwise be privileged, including an attorney, a member of the clergy, a medical practitioner, a social worker, a mental health professional, and an employee of a clinic or health care facility that provides reproductive services. The identity of the reporter is confidential and may only be released by order of court or to law enforcement agency conducting a criminal investigation.

    Texas Family Code 261.103 Report made to appropriate agency
    A report shall be made to:
    any local or state law enforcement agency;
    Child Protective Services if the alleged or suspected abuse involves a person
    responsible for the care, custody, or welfare of the child;
    the state agency that operates, licenses, certifies, or registers the facility in
    which the alleged abuse or neglect occurred; or
    the agency designated by the court to be responsible for the protection of
    children.

    ROFLMBO!!!!!

    *growedup slaps own forehead* Of cooooooourse pink odors come from a -shaped emission device! What WAS I thinking?!!! It all makes perfect sense now!!! And I have no doubt the manufacturer appreciates you not sharing from whence the pink odor is emitted - at least half as much as I do!!! (A girl's gotta be able to sleep at night, you know!)

    As usual, you are walking furball source of information! I wonder if Kimberlee Norris is aware of the document you're talking about. If not, I bet she'd love to see it! If you happen to come across it, will you please post it for us?! I have no doubt it deserves to come back to the top!!!

    Hey, how did you know about that? We haven't met in person yet...

    I would guess that Kimberlee is probably aware of the letter, since it is on the SilentLambs site. Here's a quote:

    It may be impossible to stop determined officers from conducting the search authorized by the warrant. Conscientious elders will want to do all they reasonably and peaceably can to preserve the confidentiality of the congregation in harmony with the principle set out in Acts 5:29.
    While the words "reasonably and peaceably" would seem to be mollifiers, I still find it very troubling that the Watchtower is bringing the principle of Ac 5:29 into play at all. What they are essentially saying is that the confidentiality of congregation records is a divine command, and therefore overrules any legal order.

    Yes. They are very pompous to assume they are above the law. Thanks for finding that and posting it.

    As far as the "furball" comment goes, one only needs to look at your avatar to know!!!!! (Of course, I picked my avatar because I look like a little blond girl with pigtails. I'm SURE you chose yours for the same reason, right? Euph?! Euph?! Hello?! Can you hear me?!)
