OK, this is just a funny thought.
It is noted that Saint Nicholas, who attended that first ecumenical council, got so upset with Arius' insistence that Jesus was only a man that he punched Arius in the face (and got his bishop status revoked until several bishops reportedly had visions that he should be restored...).
I guess that could explain why JWs (=Arius) hate Christmas (=St. Nick)-- A grudge?

Unless Aries was a witness, I doubt that has any bearing on it. After all, the dubs could care less about anybody or anything not associated with their group.
Thats the point, Oxnard. Arius WAS a JW, or at least the Dubs identify with and barrack for him at the Council of Nicea. They conveniently forget that he considered the Father, the Son AND the Holy Spirit to be three separate persons/deities, Son and HS subservient to the Father. However, with the Watchtower need to prove that their doctrine didn't originate with them 1900 years after the fact, they've had to reach back and enlist the services of some unlikely allies.
I'm familiar with the WT article (tho haven't "studied" it like others here probably have...).
I just heard the story of St. NIck socking Arius yesterday, and have been chuckling to myself that "Arius" is getting back at Saint Nicholas thru the WT...
It just seems humorous/ironic to me, that's all.

Another reason they hate Christmas is because once upon a time they celebrated this holiday in alls it festivities. The Bethel was decked with boughs of hollie. garlands everywhere and trees to boot..
I guess they got some "new light" and some how stopped.

We know why they don't celebrate Christmas. It's not a celebration of Christ's birth. It's just an exuse to throw an animal party!
We all need a wake up call ---rememeber that the WTS is a publishing company NOT a religion. They hated all of that $$$$ flying out the doors of the KH's .
Arius and Nicholas were only 2 of many combatants at that quorum. And Santa started out as a dwarf but with all of Americas super abundance of food he got taller (protein) then w/ fast food he got fatter Hey, do you think he'll sue?

well there u are joker, not content to insult us all by infering that we don't work, u now assume all xmas parties are as u state. My grandchildren are small and beautiful and love xmas. I don't see any "animal parties" at there parents home.U can't believe everything that is written in the pages of the WT.
