We know why they don't celebrate Christmas. It's not a celebration of Christ's birth. It's just an exuse to throw an animal party!
You're such a barrel of laughs aren't you Joker.

Because XMAS is great fun and the WTBTS does not like people having fun
Well, I liked Bebu's take on this so much that I started telling this particular amusing anecdote to everyone who would listen. Most like the inference that the Dubs hate St. Nick, not because he represents that hated holiday, but because he decked their man at the Council of Nicaea, and they find the thought amusing. Except for one protestant minister - he accused me of making it all up!
Have since done some research on this - there is a lot on it at various Catholic/Orthodox sites. The story runs that St Nick was defrocked for his action, but visions came to various Bishops that night that he should be reinstated. But as a penance, he was never included in the lists of Bishops attending the Council. This last is a major clue that this story is apocryphal and probably first appeared in some 8th or 9th Century hagiographic "Life of St Nicholas". St Nick was a holy, passionate and revered icon of Church History; being contemporary with the Council, he simply MUST have been there. This little story explains to those who revere him why he wasn't on the list.
Poor Arius: he not only lost the debate, but the fight as well! LOL
They don't celebrate anything.
They call is "celebrating" the memorial, but it's not even close to a celebration...just another damn meeting you have to sit through...although some sisters do use it as an excuse to get a new outfit.
But as far as a real celebration where the kids come home to visit and there's a special dinner? Nothing. Not one thing. I always used to wonder why they didn't at least celebrate some Jewish holiday, at least, it wouldn't have been 'pagan.'
I think there's some reason that they don't want peole getting together to have fun.
