i want to move to europe. seriously!! i've been looking into becoming an au pair. i hate kids but it seems like an easy way to earn your keep without having to worry about finding a place to live and a job at the same time.

not that that's a new year's resolution per se....just a goal i plan to work towards.

Tink - lol, I am the same way...don't like kids either. There's a cool book about how to earn some money while living abroad, and you wouldn't have to babysit those little bastards. (I forget the name of it) but I bet your local library will have mucho books on the subject. Any country in particular you're interested in?

As for my new years resolution....I want to memorize the entire book Psalms. hehe.

spunk - i'm thinking italy or france. i was thinking of going exotic and doing this volunteer thing to nepal, but if i'm going to move somewhere, i want to be able to eventually blend in somewhat. i'll always be an american, but i won't be "that one american freak" if i choose a country that is already used to expatriats. i already speak some italian, so i was initially leaning towards italy, but all the research i have done indicates that getting a job is absolute HELL in italy.

Tink - that's a bummer and I'm sorry to hear. Italy is amazing!! I saved up for 4 months and backpacked around Europe for two months. It's pretty amazing...mi piace italiano regazzio! However, I usually get really homesick by the three week mark. Good luck with your quest! It sounds very exciting!

My first goal to complete is to be making love at the stroke of midnight. That would be a first for me.

Tinky that sounds like a wonderful adventure. I urge you to go for it. Or to go back to school
