Don't forget the possibility that some read it, and would have replied, but are too afraid to even post to an internet board...or some like me who have had major problems logging in lately and couldn't post, but could still read...
This will most likely be my last post. I do hope you read it.

Azaria,
Sorry but I don't even recall seeing your original thread. But the title of this one caught my attention, so I thought I had better read it. To reiterate what everyone has said, don't give up on us. New threads are constantly appearing. I usually check first thing in the morning, but then I am gone to work all day. When I return at night, I check again. By that time there are so many new threads that have been started that I hardly know where to begin. I find it almost impossible to keep up. I'm sure no one was intentionally trying to slight you. Please forgive us if that is how it appeared.

Azaria,
Rememberr, too, that lurkers will check out the thread... hundreds of times! A thread gets read way more looks than respondes.
Also, we are all hurt here because of organized religion. Some are anti-religious, and angry. It's to be expected. Just like being in a social group, we need to overlook what we consider other people's "bad habits".
And you never know if some do find god again. For now, being angry is enough to deal with.

Az,
For my part when I read that post I felt that I could add nothing of value to what you had said. You summed things up quite well I thought.
Perhaps I should have said Amen.

I have responded to your thread. I'm sorry you felt unwelcome, but please realize there are so many topics and often they move quickly that it is easy to miss one. I'm not on the board nearly as much as I used to be, so I do miss some things, and your excellent thread was one of them.
Sometimes it helps to bump up your thread if you want some responses. There's nothing wrong with doing that once or twice.

I was just going to check in for a little while, but an hour later and I’m still here, answering personal messages. I even got a message from Stinky Pantz (hope you don’t mind me saying) It meant so much. I know that we have different views or beliefs but I have always had a soft spot for you, right from the beginning, even when we had that discussion when I first came here. I thought you were like a bulldozer.
I’m overwelmed with the response. Thank you so much. I feel a bit self-indulgent, like a spoiled child needing attention, but I don’t regret it. Maybe there should be a warning when someone is in trouble, so they aren’t overlooked. I can’t respond to all individually. It would take all day. But each one meant so much to me. A number of people mentioned that I didn’t immediately respond. After I posted I didn’t stay, and when I came back with so little response I felt so hurt. Prior to that, if no-one responded to my posts I didn’t take it personally, but because I was in so much pain when I posted this one, I just felt more isolated. I’m sorry I didn’t reply to the original posters. Your messages did mean a lot to me. I feel that I belittled your responses by not answering back and that was not my intention. I had hoped to link a song that I love but couldn’t manage it. It’s a song by Steven Curtis Chapman - Be Still. I know it’s available to be downloaded. So indulge me one more time by letting me post a quotation by St. Francis of Asissi.
Lord, make me an instrument
of your peace
where there is hatred,
Let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

People who's comments are not recognised by a written post by others, can easily get the feeling that they are not heard, are not in the JWD click, are not intresting enough, or feel they are so worthless and stupid,.......that nobody desires to answer them. That's not true for the most part......but a little of it is probably true as we are dealing with actual humans here
Many posters have the impression that when they make a post.........that every member here, is on their computor and reading what they wrote. In actuality.....there are very few of this boards actual members logged on at the same time obviously . Those who are logged on at the time of this posters comments, are the only ones reading it needless to say. There may be hundreds of lurkers who read it , but do not comment on the board yet.
Fast forward a bit.........a couple hours later a bunch more of us heathen bastards log on to this site..........and that posters thread has went back 3 or 4 pages. Is anyone going to notice that poster now? I don't think for the most part most of us go back that many pages and if we do.........do we read every thread and comment on that thread? Not hardly as it would take hours and we want to get to the new stuff. I wrote this on a fresh pot of coffee, so everything I said was absolutely correct.
( I accidentaly posted this on the " I still believe in god thread" but will erase it. Gumby

I feel a bit self-indulgent, like a spoiled child needing attention
*LOL* S'OK a couple times a year. Just remember there are lots of people here and threads die like the withering vine on a hot Texas afternoon. Do not be afraid to post to your own thread to get it noticed. If you feel you need help that badly the by all means do so. Just try nt to create threads like this threatening to leave cuz you didn't get enough attention. It is commonly seen as seeking attention for no reason and often times will be self defeating. Stick around, read and post often. Oh and remember your own lesson next time you see a thread about to drift away into oblivion. Maybe you'll be the one to help someone who needs a listening ear. Cheers and thanks for sticking around.
Sincerely,
District Overbeer

It is impossible to read all topics - takes just to much time, thats why I read the subjects and when I think they are interesting I will read them - but not always respons to it.
Most of the time others have already said what I should say - so there is no need to reply.
Or I simply HAVE NO reply.
That does'nt mean that your posts are not valued.
Reconsider, were just with to many posters here to take the lack of replies personal.

Azaria,
I just tried the link you posted and it didn't work - but we can find your posts by clicking on your name and going back through your posting history.
I pop in and out here, so don't always read every post. Rest assured that you aren't or ever have been taken for granted. Please stick around. Things WILL get better.
Sincerely,
Dansk
