There are many terms used other than "last days" from other Christian religions and all have their own meaning attached. WTS says this: "At the start of the last days in 1914, there were only a few thousand servants of God." WT simplified 11/15/2015 p. 25 But the WTS has many ways to say when it will be the end of the last days: Great Tribulation, Armageddon, cry of peace and security, attack on Babylon the Great, etc., all which have changed date/time over the years and will change again. So the term is meaningless if it changes all the time.
Perhaps the WTS will say that we are in the toenails of the "toes."

The book of revelation is a letter of encouragement to first century Christians under the persecution of Nero and the Roman Empire. It is written in an obtuse matter so the author never has to back any of his claims up and really could apply to any time in human history. It is just a FU letter saying god will eventually set things right.
My advice is to not waste another second learning about it. It is just an absolute waste of time. There is nothing there much less to invent a new religion. -

As far as l know we , the British don't have these religious satellite channels. Brits don't go in for that kind of " give us your money for a blessing " stuff .
I have done some research and this whole " tomorrow is our last day " thing does seem to be mainly American.
As l said no Catholics, Anglicans, Baptists or Methodists do the date predictions and that covers probably 95% of British Christians.
Certainly in Watchtower land this appears to be about control and l suspect that the mainly Evangelicals who indulge use it for the same purpose.
