This week I ran into 2 people (on the same day) that I know, don't know each other, and they both talked about conspiracies and the role of the "Illumanati" and the belief in "gray aliens". The one that knew I was a Witness congratulated me for my decision to stop attending meetings and believing in the Witnesses. He went on how C.T. Russell was a member of the "illumanati" and how the "aliens" were telepathically (sp.) telling people how to rule the world. .....Then, later on in the day, I went to get a lottery ticket and the store owner and his son were complaining about how the "illumanti" was responsible for all the government's decisions, including having masked militiamen........What the heck's happening?

I never heard of the gray aliens, but if you're interested in anything illuminati, subscribe to the cuttingedge.org. These folks keep up with the world news and the 'behind the scenes goals' of the illuminati/Freemason connection. I enjoy reading the site and the newsletters when I can keep up with it. They write a ton of stuff on a regular basis. I originally learned of this site from another member of this forum maybe a year or so ago. Personally, I find it fascinating though I know the subject is poo-pooed by many. Cuttingedge recently did a whole newsletter on the dollar-bill and other occultic symbols in and used by the USA since its inception: "Understanding Key Events With The Additional Knowledge of The Occult" http://www.cuttingedge.org/news/n1869b.cfm (newer articles you have to have a subscription, but older archives are free).

There are some popular novels out now, that discuss things like that. I tend to believe a lot of what I read, so was sucked in at first too.
One book that discusses the Illuminati is called Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown, same author who wrote The DaVinci Code, another consipiracy novel.
