my take on it is if you were a polite mannerly person before leaving the JW, that is still the sort of person you are. If someone seems to be different after leaving the JW, they are likely just being their true self that they hid as a JW-but finding out they have been made a fool of for years fuels the bad behaviour/attitude. Just an opinion, but I have read enough comments on this page to discern that even when IN the org they had bad attitudes. All that being said, why should be expect goodness to come out of a bad organisation. I looked for good while inside, but I could write books about the spousal abuse, perversions, theiveries, lies, etc. Their personalities changed with the clothes they put on/ took out for meetings. So who are/were they /we really? ( so much for knowing it's the truth because of the love among themselves.)
