Why don't they just say "it was a miracle"? That eliminates any need to explain it logically.
I guess it makes the miracle more believable if it can be explained scientifically, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of it being a "miracle"? By its very defintion a miracle is supposed to be a supernatural event that isn't bound by any physical laws.
As most of us know that prior to the flood the earth was like a hot house effect. With this effect over the earth, the temperatures of the earth were just about the same at the poles and the equator. Thus with this tropical condtion plants would grow everywhere. Also because of this condtion it had never rained. However it appears that the earths vegetation and plant life was watered by a mist rising from the earth-- a moist, or humid, hothouse like condition. Everything was evenally balanced for a while. Of course we know what lead up to the flood of Noah's day. Some of the other planets in the universe there were rings around their planet. Each ring served its purpose in accordance to the way of God's preparation of the earth for mankind.
In earliar years of the organizations teaching, what was to happen to the earth was called the "Canopy Theory" used by Charles Taze Russell.
Following the great deluge many things were to change, including the shortening of mans life span. As respects the watery veil that hothouse condition ceased to exist. The equatorial path to the sun became hotter and the poles, the change must have been terrific---an instantaneous transition from the hot-house temperature to the arctic coldness. Also a massive amout of water forming great oceans , seas, and thousands of thousand of lakes. It was as if the flood waters fell into big basins. Knowing that the shock to the earth and it temperatures especially effected the arctic regions. We of course know this. As scientist and archeology found two large mastadons emmbedded in clear, solid ice. They having fresh green vegetation in their mouths an in their digestive systems still not digested showing that they froze quickly. I would probably call this "flash freezing". As well tons of elephant tusks have been found in the samefrozen Siberia. An antelope was found in the same way in huge blocks of ice.. Knowing this, its not difficult to believe that with fresh food in mouth and stomachs again herolds proof of instant freezings. There is your water. Now solid freezing arctic ice. The sudden breaking of the canopy or envelope over the earth, now was producing great ice fields and ice mountians and great icebergs which every year break apart making a journey to the earth equator. With all that happened after the flooding we entered into what was called the "Ice Age or Glacial Period"> These of ice bergs of course were and are massive and cut like glass diamonds. It is said by geolgist that these cut deep crevasses through out North America, distinctly traceable in the hills; north western Europe too .
However Southeastern Europe , Armenia and its vicinty was unharmed. This region also being known as the cradle of civilaztion. Where also the ark was built, and near which on Mount Ararat, it finallly rested. According to Proffessor Wright and Sir T.W. Dawson says that in the vicinty of Arabia a general "sinking of the earth occurs and a subsquent rise occurred. The implication implied here, is that the ark floated in a comparatively quiet eddy, (water or air that goes contrary to the main direction in a circular motion) aside from the general rush of the waters of the flood. This Proff. continues saying that the flood was 40 days and nights and as the water increased and bore up the ark, it was lifted up above the earth. The waters prevailed until the very mountians were covered. Only Noah and his family endured this great ordeal of wrath from God. Even today this Proff. Wright contends that, there are signs of the flood even as far as New York.

In conclusion, these flood waters are responsible for many great things that happened the the very surface and depths of land. With cracks an crevasses in mountain and land. It caused the land mass to become seperated by the instant flash freezing effect. To this day many nations and countries have some kind of story of a great flood, tribes and natives alike tell a story in their folklore of this flooding over the earth. And then after it was all concluded God made a covenant with Noah by means of a beautiful rainbow that he would never flood the earth ever again.
