I think the WTB&TS publication titled "The Kingdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Scriptures" speaks for itself.

The word for word translation of the Greek into English.

That publication does not even contain the name or word Jehovah either in Hebrew letters or greek letters anywhere in the word for word texts.

Their is not one scripture in the N.T. where christians ,followers of Jesus Christ are instructed to be witnesses of Jehovah ,however there are something like twenty scriptures that explicitly state followers of Jesus Christ are to be witnesses of, for, and about Jesus..

Isaiah 62:2 says "... be called by a new name, which the very mouth of Jehovah will designate."

Was that new name going to be "Jehovah's Witnesses?"

    Witnesses of whose name?

    Acts 11:26; Matt. 10:18; Mark 13:9; Luke 24: 47,48; Acts 1:8; John 1:15; John 5:37; John 8:18; John 15:26,27; Acts 10:39; Acts 10:43; Acts 13:31; Acts 22:15; Acts 22:20; Acts 23:11; Acts 26:16; 1 Cor. 1:6; 1 Tim. 2:6,7; 2 Tim. 1:8; 1 John 5:9; Rev. 1:9; Rev. 12:17; Rev. 17:6; Rev. 19:10; Rev. 20:4.

Acts 11:26 says "the disciples were by divine providence called Christians." (not JW's!)

For whose name would Christians be hated? (Matt. 10:22)

By whose name were people healed? (Acts 3:6; Acts 4:10)

By whose name were demons expelled? (Luke 10:17; Acts 16:18)

By whose name would people receive Holy Spirit? (John 14:26)

In whose name would people pray to God? (John 15:16)

By whose name would people be named? (Isa. 62:2; Acts 11:26)

By whose name would people be reconciled to God? (Rom. 5:10; 2 Cor. 5:18)

By whose name would people be forgiven their sins? (Matt. 26:28; Acts 2:38; Eph. 1:7)

In whose name would people be judged? (John 5:27)

By whose name would people be resurrected (John 5:28)

In whose name would people be baptized? (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5, 22:16)

In whose name were people to put faith? (John 2:23)

In whose name was Saul/Paul commissioned to preach? (Acts 9:14-16)

For whose name would Christians be reproached? (1 Peter 4:14)

In whose name were Christians to gather together? (Matt. 18:20)

For whose name would Christians make sacrifices? (Matt. 19:29)

For whose name would Christians be persecuted and killed? (Luke 21:12,16,17)

In whose name will every knee in heaven and on earth bend? (Philippians 2:10)

In whose name would people be declared righteous? (1 Cor. 6:11)

Whose name would Christians publicly declare? (Hebrews 13:15) *

*The 27 'witnesses' scriptures above disprove the intentionally false insertion of 'Jehovah' in the RNWT.

Smiddy - did you have a similar topic over month ago (or so) re/Jesus in New Testament scripture to be worshipped not Jehovah? Scriptures were typed out and not one proving the name Jehovah -- I tried to locate for friend and either forgot about or couldn't find and gave up.

    Thanks.

In fact, to be more direct, Jesus said his followers would be witnesses of Jesus. And at Acts 11:26 his followers came to be called Christians by "divine providence." Thus Jesus' followers should rightly be called Christian witnesses of Jesus.

    Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you, and you will be witnesses of me in Jerusalem, in all Ju·deʹa and Sa·marʹi·a and to the most distant part of the earth.

    Acts 11:26

After he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year they assembled with them in the congregation and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.

Excellent array of scriptures. I wonder how JWs would react to this list.

John 17: 3 This is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you sent... 6 I have revealed your name to the people you gave me from this world. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 This is because I gave them the words that you gave me, and they received them. @ johnamos - You corectly quote the wording of John 10:25 which shows that Jesus did things in his father's name.

However by doing so, you are ignoring and completely missing the fundamental point which the dozens of cited/quoted verses is making, namely, Christians were to witness for & represent Christ - not God. Using one scripture in an attempt to nullify numerous verses is not a good ploy.

Christ Jesus was assigned to be God's witness - not mankind. The Bible makes this pretty clear.

(Revelation 1:5) "....Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,”

(Revelation 3:14) "....the faithful and true witness.."

(Revelation 19:11) "And the one seated on it is called Faithful and True,.."

What about "the father bore witness about the Christ" ?

I did not ignore or am I missing any point. The topic is to cite a Scripture in the Greek Scriptures where there is a charge for Christian's to witness for Jehovah.

The mere fact that anyone would identify themselves as an Christian is in itself already being a witness for Jesus being that an Christian is known to be an 'follower of Jesus Christ.'

If one were to truly follow him, that would mean to also do works in the name of whom Jesus said was his father and thereby also making that name known.
