Is there ever a point where you've completely recovered and don't give a flying &%$@ about it anymore?
dunno (said that way) ... but yes it most depends on "why" ?

I really dont think to much about the JW's either, but random thoughts enter my mind at times about experiences or foolish things that occurred to me when I was a member. The other day I remembered when I was first df'd and a witness said hello to me from another congo who didn't know I was df'd, and I said hello back. Well, right then and there a younger teenage witness who did know I was df'd whispered in his ear that I was df'd. They then ran away from me as if I had the plaque! It is kind of sad because the younger witness was a neighbor of mine for 20 years who I knew from a baby.
These people are so brain washed to throw away deep friendships that span lifetimes simply because you didn't follow the rules. It is a very powerful means of controlling people, thus I feel it is a cult.
