I am glad to make such a mistake just to get your input. I learn more details about your long battle with the WT everytime we talk.
Actually I was just generalizing that WT saw the problem in the way the Catholic Church handled it and it would have been a good time to change the way they handled it. But once again they chose to be the hypocrit instead.
I'm am sorry for what you went through Chris but glad you are here telling us what really goes on.

I just wanted to thank you for passing on my post and elicting these powerful
observations from your friend.
For those of us who dared to be optimistic and hoped for ethical reform of the Watchtower,
the actual reaction is all the more sad - more propaganda, deceptions, and bold ignorance.
I look at little things - like the "public talks" at assemblies that aren't public anymore,
the stilted lyrics of the songbook ( "molested" bees? getting "beaten off" ?!!!) and stupid
translations of the bible that mention the word "booty", AND I REALIZE that nothing will
change. The old men in charge are utterly out of touch with the real world and the people
in it. They will nag and wave their fingers menacingly - but never do anything positive
for the friends, to relieve their burdens. Compassion and reason just aren't in them.

The things he writes are very good, aren't they? I have another piece he wrote, that he gave me permission to post, but it is pretty long for a post here. If anyone wants to read it, send me an email, and I will send it to you in Word.

(No wonder some feel the need to keep things interesting by staking out the homes of "apostates" and taking surveillance photos of their driveways!)? I read in C of C of a home watched by binocular and also read of surveillance mentioned in other strings on jehovahs-witness.com. Is your friend referring to what they have done to himself? Perhaps you could bring this issue up on another string?
