sounds similar to the tenets adhered to today in many Islamic nations, where women can be shunned, severely punished and even put to death for being raped or when pregnant as a result of rape...being viewed as the seducer or if they are unmarried.

Another subject the WTBS has no business in. Rape victims need extreme compassion and understanding. I can't image a victim being subject to an "interview",by elders, to see if there is some sin on the victims part.
It makes me sick to know a 15 yr old sister was disfellowshipped for immorality with a 32 yr old brother. How these elders could not see she was preyed on by this moron is beyond me. Talk about having your head up your ass.

This is plain silly. In a moment of shock nobody knows how they'll react.
The most updated info is that whether the victim screams or not, there will not be disciplinary action taken against the victim of any violent crime. Makes sense!
Also, a letter was read not too long ago which stated that all types of crimes must be reported to authorities.
So, they are making some progress in this regard, believe it or not.
