Jim Pentons New Book

I just heard from Jim. He was telling me his new book will be published in about a year. It is called" Jehovah's Witnesses & The Third Reich" by University of Toronto Press.He was telling me there is some very new revealing material in it that will prove how Rutherford & the german bransh tried to ingratiate themselves with the nazis in the summer & early fall of 1933.. He told me this privatly .I did ask if I can repeat it, he said of course. Sounds interesting to me.

I can't wait for this book to come out. If anyone gets it first -- PLEASE read it and pass along the juicy tidbits!

For so long the Watchtower Society pictured other religions as a composite harlot/prostitute astride the back of the "wild beast of Revelation" (the world's governments). This book will add to the documentation that the WT Society herself has committed spiritual harlotry.

Of course with the recent affiliation with the UN as its NGO (1991-2002), the Society's attempts to secretly curry favors with this world's governments has continued, while at the same time it teaches that true Christians are "without spot from the world".

Watch what they do, not what they say!

Wasn't Penton involved in unearthing the material that came out a few years ago, that forced the WTS to start addressing the issue? In any case, this is a worthwhile project, and I look forward to reading the book.

Is there a list I can get on at the publishing firm to get a copy hot off the press, mouthy? I just finished his book last month.

Wow, I have been curious about the shrinking numbers each successive "history" article of the WTS admits to. I am also curious about what really happened with Rutherford and the Third Reich, documentation and all in the same publication.

Mouthy, I recall reading this story once about Rutherford and his dealings with the said subject, however, you say, Penton has 'revealing' material as proof. I guess he doesn't want to let the cat out of the bag, he does have to sell his book. Make sure that Joker10 gets wind of it! Another book he personally won't invest in.

Mouthy I am eagerly awaiting the new release of this book. Is this the same Jim Penton who wrote " Thirty Years a Slave of the WatchTower??.

It will be interesting if he can prove what he says by documentation. Something troubles me though, if he knew these things before why didn't he write about it then.

OFC, it was Schnell who wrote Thirty Years... (1956, Baker Book House). Chapter 6 is The Judge Visits Germany. It's been a while since I read the book, so my memory may fail, but I don't recall any comments therein about WTS-Nazi collaboration.

But there was a very compromising letter, reprinted in a 30s Yearbook (as I recall) that substantiates this 'twist' of "The Theocracy" AlanF posted a copy of the pertinent pages...I'll see if I can find it.

Orange I dont have an answer but I will ask him.... He wrote Apocalypse Delayed,,, I do believe he was under alot of pressure - & has been very prominant on exposing the WT for what it is... I think Lady Lee has his video he made -& he mentions something in it about the topic. I am suffering from fogetfulness now-I have a hard time remembering things( who wrote what who said what...)
