  6,000,000,000 dead people to solve the world's problems. I laid it on the line. He couldn't understand. He said that Noah's Ark "proves" the Bible to him.

  I'll take a shot at this one... I think he meant to say that since the VAST MAJORITY of people died in the Flood (according to the account) because they didn't listen to Jehovah's only witness then (Noah), so therefore the vast majority of the people are about to die at Armageddon because they don't listen to Jehovah's Witnesses now.

  What did Noah have in common with your new year's eve partiers? They got really drunk.

  I really think Sex, drugs, & rock 'n' roll are getting a bad rap. Sure, they were'nt exactly my main motive for leaving, but they did'nt hurt either. I mean, my worldly girlfriend looked like Marilyn Monroe, even had the same measurements, well, the chest was a teensy bit bigger, but who's counting? Also, she was smart, funny, & loved to "do it". Yeah, my mom managed to totally screw that relationship up, but it really helped me on my way.

  I spent the evening getting home after my vacation and of course fighting to stay away on the drive home. No drinks at all this year. Next year we'll have an improvement.

  I never had a fear of getting killed at armagedden since I never bought into it. What a shame, a guy that is probably a decent guy knows he's going to die.

  I can't say what I went to too many 'parties' with a lot of drinking with witnesses, except those in my own home with ex hubby years ago... except maybe the group of witnesses we ran with in the late 70s before we got married. Now those people have WINE parties and are all stuffy.. they'd die rather than spend any time with someone who 'left the truth'..

  I did go to some kicking' drinkin' 'JW' db parties out in CAli though.. I seem to recall there was even a lap dance going on at one of them (or so I heard.. I was out in the backyard making out with one of the brothers).. I got home and thought damn.. those witnesses out in Cali can party and have a good time!!

  Reminds me of some suicidal jw parties i was in. They are suicidal because they all think they will pay w their lives for what they are having fun doing. *shaking head* Sad. Sadder still, some of them stay wt, and grow into hypocrites.

  that is so on the mark. I can remember having fun and then feeling so guilty... even feeling guilty WHILE doing so..

  sure feels good to be enlightened and enjoy life without guilt

  Noting will ever change in "Watchtower World" The mind set of these people will not allow them to think for themselves.

  They are doomed to believe that "soon" armagedon will sweep in and destroy 99.9 of humans again.

  The choice is to worship this "loving god" or die. What a depressing future for them.

  I would rather live without this hope...Thank You very much...

  Sex, drugs and rock n roll saved me. It was my out. It wasn't until after I left the dubs that I realized how truly f'ed up thier "belief system" was.

  As to the orginial post...I can still to this day say some of the wildest parties I've ever attended were dub parties. I saw or participated in just about anything you could imagine at them. Of course they are all in "good standing" now.
