Do We Need Role Models?

  When i was young, i used to have role models. My dad, probably up to when i was about 9 or 10. From about age 11 to about 16, it was the dub family that studied w us at that time. They reintegrated us into the borg, after we had drifted away. Later on, in some ways, my role model was jesus. I suppose the image i had of jesus is still in some ways inspiring, as are some other mystics, inventors and innovators.

  As adults, is having a roll model a good thing? Or, should we look inside ourselves for an archtype or something? Questions, questions.

  The more our personal character defines itself, the less we are in need of any role model.

  I often wondered how the "juvenile Christ-character" we received from tradition could be a model to anyone over 40.

  No not their Ideals ... Their "VALUES" ... not really the same exactly (it means that the values have to be apply on every process of the ideals).

  Yes, there is a bit of difference.

  Maybe, when we get older, many of us believe more in ourselves, developing our own values, etc.

  I dont have any role models, i only have teachers. saintsatan the word "Rolemodel" is use by ungodly men, they refer to role models has idols/Images. It's better to use the word Teacher or teacher from GOD or somebody we look up to and follow.

  Anyway I follow in the footsteps of The true followers of Jesus(which was the prophets & Disciples) and i also follow in the footsteps of The messiah, noah , moses, And most important The father who made the earth and the heavens and all it's wonderful Foundation GOD.
