I agree. They are the best band in a long time! Alot different than the norm. I love that song I Believe In a Thing Called Love and the video for it is awesome. May they continue on for a while.

They opened Glastonbury this year - their first big gig and from there they became mega popular.

Talk about speaking from beyond the grave."The Darkness" have been the only group I've seen to come anywhere near that genre.

Queen were possibly the most influential British band of the century. Forget the Beatles, Paul M has the charisma of a slug, Freddie Mercury was flamboyant, outragious, hilarious and had a vocal range most opera singers would die for. His duet with the huge Opera diva - Barcelona was wonderful and the vid for 'I want to break free' cracks me up even now.

anyhoo, the Darkness crack me up. They are really good fun entertainment so long as you can overlook the swearing. Admittedly I wouldn't want to hear young kids singing along to 'get your hands offa my woman mother f*****' but their whole performance is outstanding and they really involve the crowd. Compare that to bands like radiohead, who when at Glastonbury were the most depressing live act I have ever heard, and you can see why people like them

By the way, those of you in the US who don't know them will be seeing them soon I think....I heard that they're going over there this year.
They're definately like Queen and honestly I love all the spandex outfits and stuff. The lead singer isn't at all good looking IMO but it doesn't matter because he makes up for it with his voice. I love that song "get your hands off my woman...." despite the swearing. I don't mind swearing in songs actually (or in life in the right situation!). There are so many great songs on that CD.
