Dave you are a jerk! Why didn't you ask SLOAN to bit me instead? WTF? BTW, if you need some webspace to host some pics lemme know. Oh and have you ever used the software Picasa? It is real easy to manipulate rather large numbers of photos at a time. Just thought you might be interested, for perhaps you'll be posting lots and lots more pics of your grand chicken.

Val, I use Photoshop, you know that. These photos were directly from my new digital camera. I'v held out getting one until they made one I could change lenses with and get a 1/4 lense so I could shoot large photos of textures for my 3D work. I'm still trying to figure out all the damn buttons.
Thanks for the offer of the web space. I almost PM'ed you to ask but went to photopic instead. I can't get Simons photo set up to work. In another few months I'll get time to do another web site for myself and I'll have space to fit photos there. I know this sounds all grandpa and stuff but I plan on taking a tun of photos of the little munchkin. My camera has a 250 meg memory card. It's cool.

Well, when you have that many photos, I think even the self proclaimed Photoshop Master Mofo you are will want a way to have lots of them arranged, resized, made thumbnails of without having to jack w/each one...et..Does Photoshop do batch processing? I know becuz as you might have seen I post a huge amount of photos at a time and when you get webspace, this become an issue. Sorry if you already know all this stuff, but I know you can be a bit slow sometimes and I try to look after the less fortunate.
edited to ask..Which camera did you get? I will most likely buy a new one this year.

I don't do batch processing. Photoshop has a feature that lets you look at as many thumbnails as you wish and open the ones you want to use. You can also save all you level and curve settings and adjust all your photos the same if you like. Quit giving me crap.
I bought a Cannon EOS. It's great for what I need to do with it. I tossed the Mickey Mouse lens it comes with and got the 50mm 1/4 lens. I takes better photos than I thought it would. It's like having a good old SLR. I don't use any of the auto focus or auto ap stuff. At the largest memory setting it will shot about 50 photos on one card. At the large jpg setting it will shoot about 160 photos on one card. It's a 6.2 mega pixel camera. You should check one out.

You know...I'm not normally one to gush over babies or kids...but she is really adorable.
(it just occurred to me - JWs like to claim that us bitter apostates have nothing better do than hang about on message boards and talk about JWs - but this kind of stuff is really what we do more, I think)
Edited to add...I just showed my husband the pics, and we were talking about how spoiled grandpa is going to have her....she looks like the type that would do something really naughty (something grandpa taught her, as a matter of fact), and then look up at you and giggle with those little pigtails bouncing...and grandpa will say stuff like, "Awww, that's ok, we needed a new house anyway..."
