  I saw that argument in a WT recently, too, but I don't get it. Why not? Because it is the women who give birth, and theycan only give birth for example once a year. And whether there is one guy and 100 women or 100 guys and 100 women, each and every one of the women still cannot give birth more than once a year!

  A technicality: Mothers of twins, triplets, etc. do give birth to more than one baby per year, give birth in a 7-month gestation, or get pregnant right after birthing. I get your point, though.

  At first you have this one man, one woman thing going on. A man will leave his family, etc., and cleave to his ONE wife.

  Then you have the brother/sister incest thing happening. Cain/Abel, sister/sister.

  Then you advance to all kinds of sex. Swapping. Daughters and fathers. Prostitutes. Adultery. Rape. Fornication. Homosexuality. Beastialty.

  Then you have men with so many wives they can't keep count. (Or maybe they were listed like cattle for tax purposes.)

  Now, you have laws against ALL of these things, except the FIRST situation. The laws change at whim. Then are put into effect all over again, to suit some new whim.

  To me, it sounds like a bunch of crap.
