JW TV is the reason for the hysteria in the KH

all it takes is for every JW to be huddled into a KH for a live broadcast for something truly worrying to happen.

    Thoughts?

There is a GB special broadcast coming up soon.

Instructions have been given to all UK congregations to have their streaming equipment tested and ready for a live stream event. There is even going to be a weekend of password protected stream tests before the main event, to prove everything works correctly.

And they want people to do a short mission in Israel this spring?  When, like right after the REJECT Astaroth Party?  That would send them on their way April 5 through April 19.

This is not safe.  First, with Neptune reaching 9 Pisces and Saturn in Sagittarius, this is a bad time to travel like that.  Saturn in Sagittarius is negative for long distance travel.  And with Neptune hitting the bad degree of Pisces, and the banking system what it is now, the risk is extreme that the whole financial system will fall apart.  Starting with the US Toilet Paper Dollar.  Do you want to be stranded in Tel Aviv for several months because no planes are landing in America because the workers will not work for a dollar that is effectively toilet paper?  Not to mention, the funds wasted on the trip itself.  It costs roughly the equivalent of a monster box of silver to go--probably less if the price of silver goes up enough.  And this will be during the final call to prepare for hyperinflation.

Next, with all the crap going on there, do you want to be in Israel the next time someone feels like shooting up a synagogue or kosher market?  Beyond the risk of getting caught in the crossfire, there is a risk of being blamed for it yourself.  This is a high risk throughout the whole country, not just near West Bank.  Tel Aviv has been attacked with a stabbing recently, and not so long ago someone went on a shooting spree in a Jerusalem synagogue.  Besides, there is the risk that Israel will pxxx off Palestine enough to get rockets fired their way again.  Do you feel safe where rockets are being fired in your vicinity?

Worst of all, there is the risk of placing something with ultra orthodox Jews.  Besides that they will likely persecute you to death, what if a high ranking rabbi does take a waste of paper from you?  That waste of paper becomes a link, and every bad aspect of your life can be used against the whole human race.  Those rabbis will use black magic to this effect, often months or years after you placed the waste of paper.  Sex hang-ups?  You place one of those wastes of paper with the wrong rabbi, and that thing will use black magic when Saturn squares Jupiter (with Jupiter in Virgo) to render all sex as rape.  For everyone.

And they are claiming this trip is safe?  Safe, that is, if you are willing to risk being stuck in Tel Aviv, being poor, and having your soul used in a damnation working against the whole human race.  Otherwise, don't buy what they are saying and do not go.

Hey, if they go all batsh** crazy, just short of Jonestown, they still get what they want.    They have all these properties and over the next few years seem to be on a building boom(by their accounts) that will be accomplished with as much donated land, materials and labor as they can squeeze out of folks, they are preparing JWs to fully expect to be meeting in basements wearing JEANS, no less(!), they want your money, they demand obedience, the ask you to do dumb ass things (not logical to normal human beings). So a bunch of people drop out. The leavers have no recourse to keep or sell the buildings so they are SOL. The org consolidates the congregations over the next few years and sells hall after hall after hall. At some point, they create a crisis point and convince all JWs they are being persecuted(or they might be persecuted-who knows what kind of crap the WT will pull to accomplish it?). The last few halls head for the basements. They decide that halls are superfluous and gradually (as the economy dictates the best timing) sell off all the halls. They won't have many JWs left, but the residual wealth will keep chosen ones in luxury and comfort for generations to come without another donation to speak of. In the meantime, the elders  will move/disappear and records will vanish and make it difficult to prosecute congregations that no longer exist. Brothers that are no longer brothers will be considered hostile witnesses and the WT will get out of all kinds of trouble since the prosecution will have a hell of a time getting any records.    So, they will have their luxury residences for Bethelites while the rest of the JWs are supporting their lifestyle while meeting in basements or rented halls because all the KHs got sold off.

Interesting comments. Perhaps it might not go down the route of Jonestown, but someone made a comment of kicking out the fence sitters. The recent figure of visiters to JW org every day was sumat like 1.2 million. There are 8 million JWs in the world. Say 1 million hard core dubs are visiting the site every day, with room for 200,000 other visitors, we're talking about 87.5% of dubs are fence sitters and could potentially leave.

If 87.5% JWs leave the religion, they are also going to need 87.5% less property.

The recent figure of property owned was 88,000 mentioned in a thread about LDC seminar.

So 87.5% of 88,000 is 77,000. They could potentially sell 77,000 properties. And if the main backbone of the religion is in Africa and south america, most of the property being sold off is in the western world. (Hope i got the figures right)

And because it will be people leaving the religion, there is no chance a prosecution could take place. (i think)

There is going to be some very rich people very soon.

Remember when the Sunday public talk speaker didn't show up and we just had the Watchtower study and got out early?  Well, that is a thing of the past now that they can just whip on a JW TV video.  Sad really.

There is only a small percentage of JW's that really can be considered "hardcore" these days.  While that Jim Jones pic above is interesting I seriously doubt that any command like that would ever be issued let alone followed.    This is a cult but not an extreme cult in that sense, the few wack-jobs aside.

The only real issue I have with the JW Broadcasting, being that I am still an active JW, is that this is just one more thing to guilt trip people about on the congregation level.   Now,   before and after the meetings and during F/S this is how the conversations go:  "hey good point in the latest broadcast right?"    "wow did you catch that interview or that morning worship video.. so hard hitting"    In other words this is turning into a way to identify "spiritually weak" individuals in the congregation.   It is clever.

JWDaughter - "...At some point, they create a crisis point and convince all JWs they are being persecuted (or they might be persecuted - who knows what kind of crap the WT will pull to accomplish it?)..."

Pretty sure the "crisis point" opportunity has already presented itself...

...the rising tide of child abuse lawsuits.

All they have to do is simply keep doing what they've been doing with the Conti case and Zalkin's cases, and they're virtually guaranteed to turn legal and public opinion increasingly against them.

Spinning that as "persecution" to the million-or-so R&F loyalists would be child's play; they've practically primed them for it already, anyway.

No jonestown unless it ever imploded first, was reduced to a very small band of nut jobs, then perhaps. You'd need something to happen to make the majority of people capable of even some reasonable thought walk away first.

TE, It wouldn't surprise me if it started getting incorporated into the meetings.

    It's only a matter of time ...
