Argh! I sympathize. Here is one valid reason why I don't read the newspapers, or watch the news.

However, sh*t still happens around us, doesn't it...

Soooooo...how do I deal with it?

I have a belief that what goes around comes around. That perv will go to jail and just maybe he will get his. Wait till the word gets out that he is a child molester. How long do ya think he will survive in prison...?

Estee: Thanks...I would like to think that but as I said many are not allowed in the main populace. They are segregated and protected, it is pretty bad that even other convicts know what scum they are but bleeding hearts don't.

Frannie: I don't have sympathy for someone that I don't know the facts on their case. I see it this way...he was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping, he now can't see hmmm lowers the odds he will pull that crap again.

Also saying that "he made great strides" depends on what his crime really is. Seems rapists and molesters that don't have access to women do well in prison. It is upon their release they re-offend.

Sheila, your response tells me you didn't actually read my two posts....Ken's "walk in the park" consists of having been blinded, crippled and finally MURDERED by the employees of the Texas Criminal Justice System, by use of medical neglect and physical abuse. His great strides consisted of getting academic degrees (plural) and attempting to help fellow inmates to fight the injustice in the Texas prison system for which he won several awards and for which he was MURDERED after having his parole revoked on trumped up charges just for the purpose of getting their hands on him so they could murder him for his efforts. Hope that one of your loved ones never has to suffer unjustly in this manner.

Yes, Frannie....I read what you said I asked you to tell me the specifics since I was not able to find the wholde story on his web site. For me depends on what he did to be in prison first

My mistake, Sheila....I don't know the specifics. But I'm inclined to be merciful toward someone who's obviously strived to make such great changes in their behavior and life style (which was described in my first post) and, while defenseless, is punished to death for their efforts in behalf of others by malicious, vindictive people.

Sheila - This sounds corney, but I was just having this conversation with my parents the other day. I am irritated with President Bush, our economy, criminals, job hunting and I could go on and on. You are not alone. I am still pissy. Not sure what to do about it. *shrugs* Maybe I will move to another continent.

Sheila, I understand. Life is not fair.

My father beat the snot out of my sisters and I. He continually berated and belittled us. He will never serve a day in jail for what he did. That's just the way life is. Once you accept the inequality of life it just, kind of, rolls off your back. If it really bothers you, you need to get involved with an advocacy group. I would like to myself. I wish to help others as much as possible. I can't really do much for myself or my situation but heal through helping others.

    This is a good post!

I hope I never can accept it to me that is saying that it is a "normal" thing to bea your children or abuse them or....

I really do think I will do some sort of volunteering or emergency fostering. Something to help...anything. I have thought about being a Dulla in town here. You become a mentor to an pregnant teen and are there as a labor, delivery coach. I have tossed this around for awhile. Right now I am going to contact the elementary school to see if they need any help.
