Yes! They did it! All you who have left the organization were wrong, it's time to go back and rekindle your first love!

    As if...

This is the second study article:

"The Faithful Slave Passes the Test!"

"It is the appointed time for the judgement to start with the house of God." - 1 Peter 4:17

How appropriate the above scripture. As you all know, Bethel is the house of God. So, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society feel they are ready to be judged by Jehovah God. And about time too.

    paragraph 1

At Pentecost 33CE Jesus appointed a "slave" to provide food at the proper time for his "domestics." In 1914, Jesus was enthroned as King, and soon it was time to inspect that "slave." For the most part, he found that the "slave" had proved itself "faithful and discreet." Hence, he appointed it "over all his belongings." However, there was also an evil slave, who was neither faithful nor discreet.

What it must be to know the mind of Jesus!

For an event so powerful, for the Son of God to come down, inspect his slave and appoint it over all his belongings - why, this must have been an earth shattering event! Newspapers, radio and television must have had their schedules full of this incredible news.

We know of course it's all in their heads. Let's see who they identify as the evil slave.

    Subheading: "That Evil Slave"

    paragraph 2

Jesus spoke of the evil slave immediately after discussing "the faithful and discreet slave." He said: "If ever that evil slave should say in his heart, 'My master is delaying,' and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites. There is where the weeping and gnashing of his teeth will be." The expression "that evil slave" draws our attention to Jesus' preceding words about the faithful and discreet slave. Yes, the "evil slave" came from the ranks of the faithful slave. How?

Well, they did get one thing right - the evil slave class has truly manifested itself in Brooklyn. Just think of all the recent lawsuits regarding peodophile elders and the coverups.

    paragrpah 3

Before 1914, many members of the faithful slave class had high hopes of meeting with the Bridegroom in heaven that year, but their hopes were not fulfilled. As a result of this and other developments, many were disappointed and a few became embittered. Some of these turned to beating their former brothers verbally and consorting with "confirmed drunkards," religious groups of Christendom.

Yes, who was it that disappoined these eager Bible Students? Non other than Joseph Rutherford, who verbally beat his brothers and ousted some of them from Bethel. Of course, we are not told about the "other developments."

When you believed with all your heart that you would meet the Bridegroom in heaven, and then you find out your hope was based on a lie, who wouldn't be embittered?

    paragraph 4

These former Christains came to be identified as the "evil slave," and Jesus punished them with "the greatest severity." How? He rejected them, and they lost out on their heavenly hope. They were not, however, immediately destroyed. They first had to endure a period of weeping and gnashing of teeth in "the darkness outside" the Christian congregation. Since those early days, a few other anointed individuals have shown a similar bad spirit, identifying themselves with the "evil slave." Some of the "other sheep" have imitated their unfaithfulness. All such enemies of Christ end up in the same spiritual "darkness outside."

Let me ask all of you here who considered themselves of the anointed class. Has Jesus punished you with the greatest severity?

Honestly, this paragrpah is the worst I have ever read, and slanderous. In other words, anyone that left during those early days, and allied themselves with other groups, such as the Dawn Bible Students, are considered the evil slave class.

Aren't y'all glad that you have not been immediately destroyed?

When I read Amazing's 'amazing' story, I could see how twisted the elders were that he dealt with.

I wonder who these other anointed individuals are that identify themselves with the evil slave class? (Raymond Franz)

I will discuss the fifth paragraph, and then call it a day. The rest is basically more 1919 rhetoric.

    paragraph 5

Nonetheless, the faithful and discreet slave went through the same tests as "that evil slave." Rather than becoming embittered, however, they were readjusted. Their love for Jehovahand their brothers were strengthend. As a result, they have been a pillar and support of the truth during these tumultuous last days.

Wow - a pillar and support of truth.

It's obvious to me that the guys in the writing department are taking some serious stuff to be writing this.

Funnily enough, this magazine's articles, follow straight from the Feb 15 articles on apostates.

I can't take this drivel anymore, gotta go wash that nasty taste in my mouth out.

    HI Truthseeker,

Fascinating article! I must not be of the "Evil Slave" because I am not weeping and gnashing my teeth ... rather, I am happier than hell.

When I read Amazing's 'amazing' story, I could see how twisted the elders were that he dealt with.

Well, maybe this is a good time to resurrect my Justice Series to see just how the so-called Faithful Slave directs the Elders to act.

The real weeping and gnashing of teeth will come when these JW leaders, maybe even a member of the Governing Buzzards are in jail being called "Sweetie" by a 300lb jail mate named Bubba... yes indeed, then we will hear wails and weeping.

These Watchtower writers are a self-righteous egotistical hoot. They were NOT waiting around for 1914 to be joined with the Bridegroom in heaven. They preached that the Anointed were resurrected in 1878 to join with the already enthroned King in heaven who returned in 1874. They believed this until 1929, that is 15 years "after" 1914. [Prophecy, pg. 65, JF Rutherford]. Instead, they believed that 1914 would usher in Armageddon ... and with that I suppose that they expected to be raptured into heaven. But their prophecy failed, so they took over 15 years to figure out how to reinvent their own lie.

They did not recognized any appointment or commissioning as the Faithful Slave until the 1930s, long after the Dawn and other Bible Students had moved on. This Watchtower article is like so many others that invent fulfillment ex-post-facto fashion, to make events fit what they want. This makes them bold-faced liars no matter how one looks at it.

Thanks again for posting this latest in the progressive new light. - Jim Whitney

    Jim:
Apparently they may be called "F*ck Stick" as well as "sweetie"

    I find this part hillarious:

For the most part, he found that the "slave" had proved itself "faithful and discreet."

    Hi Truthseeker,

When I read the heading "The Faithful Slave" Passes the Test!, I was furious and at the same time I laughed at the absurdity of that declaration. I thought Christians were supposed to be humble. I thought that they were not supposed to elevate themselves unless God himself did the elevating.

This statement is the equivalent of the GB declaring: "Look at us, ain't we the greatest!" "We are just all that, aren't we?" Since I'm telling all you lowly grunts out there that we passed the test, we passed the test, now don't you forgit it. This clinches it all you other sheep guys and gals-since we passed the test all we want is just a wee bit of your worship. Whaddya say?"

Articles like this shows up the desperation of the GB to hang onto their remaining adherents. Serving up this hog slop is just the nourishment the rank and file needs to remain healthy, wealthy and duped. Ya gotta love those geriatric-just-wanna-be-worshipped-like-God boys. I have to give them one thing, they sure do have chutzpah.

I wonder if blowing your own horn is actually the seventh trumpet blast . From what I've read around here is that the confirmed drunkards live in brooklyn . Amazing had a point that when 1914 wasn't the end of the world in a literal sense they turned around and proclaimed it was symbolic . Now they believe that armageddon is an invisible war that's been going on since 1914 that ends in the destruction of all world powers . So many good points being made on this . The evil slave was in fact the faithful slave gone bad . The only ones that can take the blame are the boys in brooklyn and noone else . Apostates are simply those that reside in babylon and never heeded the call to leave . The bible students in 1914 still believed in the cross and alot of the same things as being taught by the apostate christians , so how on earth can they consider themselves the select religion ?
