I saw the interview yesterday on Lloyd Evans' youtube channel. I am glad to see that their situation finally allowed the 3 year old video to be released and shared with us.

Perhaps break the record for interviews because some of his topic videos (e.g.,’all you need to know about JWs in 5 minutes’ are close to,if not well over, 100,000.

Hey Sparrowdown, no back lash or anything.

In fact, we have received an overwhelming show of support from so many people. (via so many platforms)

Also, we have had so many reach out to us personally and ask to meet up or chat online etc... Hopefully we can provide some support. We are all in this together after all! Some who have reached out too have known personally us but are secretly faded or PIMO. It has been very interesting to see!

I hope that family or friends we knew while in do see it. It will hopefully prompt some discussions.

I do think it is interesting though if ones who are fully in see it. If they try and question us, my first questions back will be "So do you often watch apostate content? How long have you done so? Have you learned anything about the Society while doing so that has concerned you?"

So great you both decided to put yourselves out there it can be risky to out yourself publicly and officially as not in agreement with the beliefs of JWs and possibly put yourself in some zealous elders' crosshairs.

It may inspire others to do the same.

Unstuck

Thanks for your concern Sparrowdown - that is much appreciated. Time will tell if there is backlash - but if there is, Sacha and I are prepared to face it. As usual, I was the slower one in this - Sacha has been ready for some time to "come out" but he patiently waited for me to be ready. After the behaviour already shown to us by most in-JWs I figure we now have absolutely nothing to lose in revealing ourselves but our lives to gain! I finally got tired of being worried about potential consequences and tired of letting an organisation I now despise have any power over my life! The time for that is well and truly done. Sacha and I have prepared those closest to us that it could affect as best as we can and we are ready!

We want to help support those who have left or who are in the process of leaving as much as we can and we now feel that can best done by showing we have nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of.

I feel freer now that you all know our names and what we proudly stand for - truth, honesty, integrity.

No-one can take that away from us.

Thank you for all the support shown to these two legends, everyone. 10,729 people around the globe have listened to Sacha and Sherrie's story in under four days. This is just phenomenal. I'm so glad that these two are finally on the receiving end of such tremendous support and love. They've been handing it out freely for all these years, and now they have the right people in their lives to reciprocate and appreciate all that they do.
