I need a hug (vent)

Why is it I always end up working for companies that don't give a crap about their employees well-being? I've been here since March as a temp; got a full-time offer in December and almost immediately the workload has increased and there is no new hires are on the horizon. The political games in some of these departments is mind-blowing. And HR is no better. I don't even feel safe going to them about it. I know I've griped about it before, but my stamina for being the working girl is fading. I'm tired of dealing with political bull$hyte. I'm tired of working for bosses that don't give a crap. I'm tired of working.

Can I just have a hug?!?! Somebody please tell me there is a decent, honest, ethical company out there. Please tell me!!! I'm losing hope in the American workforce.

    Every company has politics.

But not every company wears you down like yours does. Some value and reward their employees.

I will name one: Allianz Life of North America, the company I work for. I look forward to coming in to the office. I feel like I have a part in the decision-making process. I am allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. They give bonuses, team-of-the-month and employee-of-the-month awards. And the company cafeteria is actually quite good, and the benefits outstanding.

So yes there are ethical corporations who try to make life bearable for their employees.

(((((ANDI))))) Me, too....it seems the only company that gives a damn about its employees is one you start yourself....take for instance.....moi.....I'm tired of working for other people and being subject to their head games, whims and fancies about what I eat, what I wear, how I wear my hair, my shoes, etc.....and they don't care about MY health, my abilities or HOW much I do for them, they always want MORE, MORE, MORE.....so I decided to tap into my own talents and start my own business...it'll take a while, maybe up to a year, but I'm determined to do it....then it's "hasta la vista, BABY!!!!" as soon as my patterns begin producing profits.

I believe that there are ethical companies out there. But then again, I often see the world through rose-colored glasses.
