GaryB although I agrre in your point of dishonesty, being honets is relative.
Jesus was dishonest when he did not hosnestly answer the tax question by Stating"Although tax is the law, it is an unfair amont that the law is demanding" or something lile that outright saying that it could not be paid because the people were robbed by the state.
It is not possible to be honest concerning law, only clever.

Gary: I read your profile and your posts on freeminds.com. My heart goes out to you. Thanks for your information which has helped me to become aware to me of the dangers of the changing policies of the wts had we continued to blindly entrust our lives to the the wts.
AS you have been a victim, me and my loved ones were also in danger of becoming casualties if I did not have change my wts based thinking.
I view things different today as my posts have shown. I have my own viewpoint, and not parroted wts logic. However, I do not disagree with everything that the wts advocates, again I am speaking from my personal experience with the wts, and only very rencently have I come to have the realization that the WTS has not shown itself to be the proxy of God as it claims. I am not only looking that WTS doctrine but also the Bible and God from different perspectives. I am new at this
REgarding the article that you have quoted from in this Topic, I dont't know the case. The lawyer's statement addreeses a lot of issues. Your thread highlights one, blood, in commection with WTS lawyer's statement you posted. I was only focusing on this issue in my posts on your thread.
Later, in your Post to galaxy you explained what you were focusing on in your Topic, limiting your point to HONESTY in coneection with the legal statement made by an attorney representing the WTS

When I had the JW mindset and argued jw teachings about blood, etc I was not dishonest, and neither do I blame you for your postion on blood when you were a jw which you now realize was erroneous at the time.Neither can I accuse the wt lawyer of dishonesty as you have. I strongly believe that she honestly believes that her legal statement is true and not false. Although we know otherwise, she doesnt' hence she is not being dishonest because she stating info she believes to be true.
In connection with honesty and law:
The Court will also rule on all of the issues in the Motion and decide either way defining whether accpeting bllod alternatives MEANS refusing treatment. If the Court determines and grants the Motion to the WTS, does that mean that the Court is a party to dishonesty? US Supreme Court has almost always ruled in favor of the WTS. Is the Supreme court a party to WTS dishonesty?
In the US of A, law, and honesty are segregated. Honest is an adjetive denoting morality and the law has nothing to do with rigfht and wrong. What seems dishonest to you may be perfectly legal to someone else and the Cort rules if something is legal but does thers to determine honesty and principles.
I dont join the band wagon with xtians and jews and wt adversaries and their clever and scheming leagl ways to commit murder.
I dont belive that the state has any business interpreting the Bible and just as they allow other religions to exist, the state must be fair and also allow the jw religion to coerce people the very same way the state allows the jews and xtians and moslems to do the same. All religions have done bad and good. Dont cofuse honesty and law they dont mix.
To paraphrase a law that governs the conduct of lawyers in the USA
"...a person that is accused of a crime wants to be free... He does not have to wear a Scarlet letter.. confess his sins and have relative freedom.. no he wants to be free and it is the duty of his Attorney to help him within the bounds of law...." or something like that. But what this law means is that Lawyers are cleverly honest, or LYERS
What bothers me, is that honestly, RELIGION in Russia doesnt want competion from the WTS and in my opinuon that is what is honestly behind these legal actions against JWS in Russia. If you want to get rid of the WTS in Russian LETS BE honest start ith the other churches first and their dishonesty.

Fearnot, I appreciate your comments. Thanks! My enemy is the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation by their own choice. I can't take time to do battle with those who have never harmed me or threatened my family. I appreciate justice and equal application of principles, but I'm not willing to ignore my enemy while I campaign for righteousness and justice in wider theaters. The Watch Tower representatives solicited me as their enemy. They worked to earn my contempt and that contempt is not passive contempt.
They are dishonest by their own standards. As a corporation, they disregard the same standards they hold their followers to. They boldly do that which more than a few of us are shunned by them for doing.
It's easy for me to appreciate a religion that does wrong and has problems if the people of that religion are nice to me. No other religion has slandered me, directed people close to me to refuse medical treatment, had their security cops belly push me, divided my family, or directed their followers to shun and snub me. Gary your feelings towards religions that are nice to you is like how all of us felt about the wts at one time and how active members also feel about the wts today, You are basing your feelings selfishly. The religions you like so much are doing to others what the wts has done to you. Are you advocating to each his own?

Fearno, I have had to reduce my perceptions. Now, I appreciate anyone who treats me and people who are important to me good. Inversely anyone who treats me or anyone important to me bad, is my enemy. I have never been treated bad by a Catholic person, for example, in the role of representing the Catholic Church. I have never even met a Russian religious agent, so they are all off my radar screen. I HAVE been treated bad by agents of the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation while in their role representing the interests of the publishing corporation. It's the ONLY business corporation in the world that, as a collective has worked to my detriment.
You see, I am a pragmatist, and a humanist. I don't care about religion per se. I do care how my family and I and people important to me are treated. I am only to happy to point out error and dishonesty in a Publishing Company that has gone out of it's way to become my enemy. I have no problem with my behavior being seen as selfish or wrong or anything. Anyone in opposition to the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation is my ally by definition of goals.
In my opinion, I think Russia and the United States, for that matter, would be better off without the Jehovah's Witnesses. Anyone who doesn't want them around is wise. My life and my family would have been so much better off without exposure to them. Just my thoughts. GaryB
