2018 Regional Convention

Well guys, after a spiritually encouraging convention, I’ve decided to return my heart back to Jehovah. I realize I was just being too negative and I need to adjust my attitude.

Just kidding suckers. Lol. I just wanted to point out a few observations. First of all, Jesus was hardly mentioned at all, it was really strange. I can probably remember them mentioning Jesus twice besides I’m the prayer. It was all about david mostly, and Moses, then Sunday all about Jonah and Elijah. Also some more serious grilling about college. The videos may have been the cringest ever. For a convention about having courage, there sure was a lot of fear mongering. My mother also called me pro-gay for cringing at the video with homophobic Sally. An interesting weekend.

Well you survived and we live on for yet another day. Thanks for sharing. You are right about them not talking much about Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation the Bible is all about Jesus. But the JW's throw him in the back seat and tell him to speak only when spoken to. Sad.

They don't acknowledge Jesus because it takes away from their 'focal' point of what they want the rank and file to follow, in that of the 'organization' and loyal to Jehovah(them)

Because the GB heads want the focus of power and attention directed to them, besides Jesus has laid out detailed instructions to what constitutes a false prophet , which the WTS heads know they are.

Why are the JWS backwards in the acceptance or knowledge of homosexuality is because the ancient Hebrews were ignorant of human sexuality, they thought that it was just something that people randomly did for their own self pleasure.

As we know today this isn't the whole truth, as we know homosexuality is not a personal choice its a biological genetic one.

I see many commenting here about the convention not mentioning about Jesus. Even if they had, so what? Is Jesus truly a historical figure, truly the son of God, truly performed miracles, all his prophecies came true?

The way Jesus said to leave our family and follow him, makes him a cult leader too.
