Here is a link to an interesting article about the RH factor the Basques of Europe.

    http://www.reptilianagenda.com/research/r110199a.html

They have a much higher percentage of RH negative people and the B type incidence is much lower.

FlyingHighNow. You know what, I did not know about that 'condition' where (some) fathers will produce only Rh+ babies.

    This is indeed, interesting.

Azaria, I am quite certain, your blood type: -B, is much rarer that mine. I think it's about 3%.

That link you posted by the way FHN, is interesting. I've read quite a bit about that.

All very fascinating this topic of blood types, but specifically the rh negative subject.

I looked at a blood type statistic site and I got 1% on B negative.

a person with type O negative blood is considered to be a "Universal Donor". It means his or her blood can be given to anyone, regardless of blood type, without causing a transfusion reaction.

FlyingHighNow: I went to the site. I feel better knowing this. But when I read the reptilian traits I quit reading. A bit far fetched for me; was this a joke?

I don't know if someone really believes that. I don't. I brought up the site to read the Rh incidence in the Basque people and sort of skipped over the reptilian part. There is more about the Rh factor on down in the article. Just skip over the reptile part.

I haven't stopped laughing since I read this! It's like saying "That book about the ancient egyptians is quite informative and historically correct, if you skip over the bit about how space aliens are the ones that gave them their technology".

I have no idea what my blood type is. I never really gave it much thought. I should probably ask my doc.

We're talking RH incidence and statistics, not reptiles or space aliens. Surely, Sara Annie, you don't think anyone would take the reptilian part seriously do you?

This site is one of a couple I looked at specifically looking for Rh factor incidence. The article starts with this list of statistics. Are you arguing with these statistics due to the silliness of the rest of the article?:

Distribution of Blood Types of Blood Donors
    O Rh-positive
    37 percent A Rh-positive
    36 percent B Rh-positive
    9 percent AB Rh-positive
    3 percent O Rh-negative
    7 percent A Rh-negative
    6 percent B Rh-negative
    1 percent AB Rh-negative
    1 percent

While RH negatives are a small minority in the "white" and other races, and practically non-existent in "orientals", the current Basques still are over 33 % RH negative.

I did read the end of it and found this, which I find interesting. A number of years ago I looked up my blood type and found a large number of people with my blood type B were either oriental (I'm blue eyed blonde-northern europian) or hasidic jew (not sure if spelled correct). So there is a possibility that my ancestors were hasidic jews? I wonder. It's an interesting topic. Isn't there anything normal, average about me? I have to laugh but it always seems I'm in a small group, whether it's blood type, personality type (Meyers-Briggs, Kiersey Temperament Sorter etc - I took this for Career Planning) I'm getting off track but that's one of my traits. I am really interested in geneology, that's why the interest in blood types.
