My family went on a trip there when I was 10. I loved it. I don't know which rim we went to but we walk out to the edge at a number of places and I remember seeing the river looking like a little green snake way down in there. We didn't have time, energy, and perhaps money to take a trip down into the canyon. One of my little sisters was only 4 mos old at the time and the main reason for the trip was to visit an aunt who lived in Pheonix. We drove from Memphis, TN. But I've always wanted to go back and I probably will someday. We also stopped at meteor crater in Arizona. Another really cool hole in the earth.

PC, have every fam member wear a pillow on their bum if yall decide to take the mule train down into the Canyon. Also, if yall go to Carlsbad Caverns too, remember to follow the guide's instructions and STAY ON THE PATH....it's dark as HELL down there and yall can easily get lost!

Oh and in Roswell, they have a crematorium in a trailer home...you too can have a cremation for $650...The sign read "Funeral Homes Cry With You All The Way To The Grave, Then laugh all the way to the bank with your money..."...*LOL* must be the aliens..

    Sincerely,

Other places to see, if you are in the mood for a scenic drive:

Moab, Utah has some incredible scenery: Arches National Park, Castle Valley, to name two.

Drove thru there this past summer, wish i had stayed longer....

Northern Colorado through the Rockies is simply awesome!

Giver yourself plenty of time, don't rush through everything...
