McDonald's is a corporation that wants your money and will do whatever it takes to get it.
Like selling the customers exactly what they ask for off the menu.
They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH, thank you very much.
They do too care about people's health, because the customers themselves these days care about their health. McDonalds has in the last few years found that for the first time in their history they aren't automatically making huge sums of money every time they open a new outlet. A lot of things contribute to this such as rising prices of raw materials, competition and so on, but one of the major attacks on McD's bottom line in this day and age is the perception that their traditional menu is "not healthy". And McDonalds is doing what it always has: not dictating to the market, an accusation often levelled by McDonalds' critics, but FOLLOWING the dictates of the market; the market says "We want healthier food with less fat and more fibre, etc." and McDonalds have said "How high, sir?" by introducing McSalads and McWraps to extend their product line. Whether or not this will pull them out of the slump remains to be seen; while McDs is identified by the Big Mac, I can't see them being synonymous with wraps or salads.
Imagine having a 2 litre bottle of coke for lunch...Doesn't everybody have that for lunch??
