I keep a file all year, with receipts and duplicate checks for deductible expenses. Sometime in Feb. I go through the file, and separate all the data into categories and start filling out the forms. After I get my 1090's in the mail, for my business, and our eldest son does the family business parts, then I complet the forms for our personal taxes with Turbo Tax (I love it) and efile. I've used Turbo Tax for about 8 years, for my little business and our personal taxes and it is great. My former CPA didn't recommend it, and I made him tell me exactly why..................it makes people like him lose work. (he works out of his house) He admitted it's a good program.

We usually have to pay even though we pay quarterly too. The family business keeps growing, which is a good thing.

Valis. The past few years I have TeleFiled. Enter info over the telephone, and get refund in about 3 weeks. Problem with that is I had to manually enter the info onto the forms anyways, but it did make for a quicker return then mailing.

Last year I did CJ's and mine with E-File over the web. The nice thing about that, is they retain all your previous tax info on file, so subsequent years are a lot easier. Unfortunately I have to wait until March 1, for my RRSP receipts, before I can file.

We do well on the rebates, as we invest quite heavily into RRSPs, ever since we realized Armageddon was not just around the corner

Rebate cheque helps to pay off those Christmas bills.

Yup... also e-filed. I should be getting a direct deposit soon.
