Update: SeaBreeze, I now see that you recognize that technically the WT teaches Christ's rule is more than 1,000 years.

Yes Disillusioned. In order to keep 1914 they have to teach the 1107 year reign of christ or that satan will be bound for 893 years or less! As usual, you'll find the WT trying to have things both ways and creating conflicts in their theology. They try to teach opposite things in different publications.

Much easier to just get rid of 1914 so that the conflict goes away.

Or how about what Jesus said when he stated that no one knows of time not even he and admonished his followers to set a time upon god's own sacred time, which makes all of these specific date settings by men and their organizations such as the JWS false, sinful and acts of scriptural apostasy ?

The WT admits they don't know the day or the hour his reign will begin (or did begin) but they claim (or used to claim) to know the month and year, and as a result they claim to not be contradicting the verse regarding the day and hour.

    Disillusioned,

Good point. I believe that the reason that they can never get rid of 1914 is because this is the rationale for ending the Gentile Times at that time. The reason THAT is so important is because the Millennium Reign period is used as a timeline demarcation for declaring that the New Covenant is no longer available for new believers.

There is a change during the Millennium Reign regarding believers, but it doesn't include rejecting the New Covenant Blood Covering "for the forgiveness of sins".

These folks are simply not part of the Bride of Christ....that is made up of Church Age believers. The MR folks likely will have the opportunity to be born-again with a new spirit like church age believers are, but they will not be glorified with a sinless nature as Church-age believers will then be. They will still have the sin nature during the 1000 yr. reign just as Christians struggle now with.

a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus - Gal. 2: 16

Some Christians believe, with some support that works will play a greater role in the MReign, since faith will not be needed to believe in Jesus at that time. He will be in Jerusalem and anyone will be able to go see him in person. (I don't need faith to believe Biden is President.)

It is this future time period during the MReign that the WT speaks to in their publications with their emphasis on works outside of the new covenant.

That's my take on the WT in a nutshell.

"This is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved
darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every
one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light,
lest his deeds should be reproved."

“I am the Light of the world” - Jesus of Nazareth
