About your live in, I don't recall Adam & Eve ever having a marriage ceremony & certificate. The account reads, after making the women from Adam's rib, he, brought her to the man. Who's the third party, God or man?

It is my understanding that marriage certificates means the State owns you. Certificate denotes permission and ownership. Who's permission do you need, God's or man's? Jesus gave an interesting comment about divorce certificates at Matt. 19:1-9. "...such was not the case from the beginning." "Moses, out of regard for your hardheadedness,made the concession..." A similiar situation arose when the Nation requested a King, whom did they reject, Samuel or YHWH? Man has paid the price for abandoning his Creator, he prefers to be under the subjection of man. Solomon said, "Man dominates man to his injury."

So, who should be the third party in your committment to another person, the State or your Creator?
