Jackie, I came into the truth after I was an adult. My grandmother had 7 grandchildren and when she shopped for Xmas, she could not leave me out either. She felt guilty about buying me a present every year and would tell me it was not to insult me but because she could not help but think of ALL of her grandchildren. She insisted it was not 'for xmas'.
Then, I got married and my anniversary was close to xmas and it pleased her greatly that as JW's we celebrated anniversaries. Sooooooooooo, come up with a reason..........LOVE? JUST BECAUSE? First anniversary of wearing big girl panties? Every event in her life can be marked with a gift. When she gets a tooth, when she wears 2T clothes.............all kinds of stuff. But don't undermine her parents, you would not appreciate the reverse situation if your children were taught about JW's from her.
